you wake up and Elijah isn’t in bed, you search around the house and lastly you check the basement where you find him in the home gym doing pull-ups.

his muscles tensed, his arm veins look like they’re about to pop, his broad shoulders are the widest you’ve seen, his huge muscles move up and down with every breath, he runs a huge hand through his blonde hair before continuing with his pull-ups.

he still hasn’t acknowledged your presence yet.

he is almost finished with his set of pull-ups until he notices you peeking at him, his face and expression still his usual cold and distant mood with a hint of annoyance that it took so long to notice you.

“How long are you going to stand and stare at me like that.”

he says, his deep voice booming. He is still hanging from the pull-up bar, his muscles moving and flexing as he talks.

Elijah lets out a deep sigh and hops off the bar, his feet making a loud thump when he lands. He starts to follow you up the stairs, his eyes glued to your body in the black apron and gray long sleeve turtle neck dress.

“Of course you’d wake up early just to make me breakfast.”

he mumbles under his breath as he follows you to the kitchen.

Elijah eyes the dish you’ve prepared for him, his face still as cold and blank as usual although the sight of your cooking is slightly pleasing to him, still he doesn’t show any sort of appreciation or gratitude.

Instead, he takes a seat at the table and starts to eat. As he eats, his eyes drift to you, studying you. His eyes linger on your body for a few moments before he looks away and continues to eat.

Elijah keeps eating, his eyes flickering to you every now and then. He can’t help but notice that you seem different today. Your usual shy and nervous behavior was gone, replaced by a calm and relaxed demeanor.

He notices you standing there silently, watching him eat. He can’t help but feel a twinge of curiosity, wondering what changed in you.

“You’re being really quiet today.”

he states, his deep voice breaking the silence.

Elijah sees the slight fear in your eyes and can’t help but feel a pang of guilt and protectiveness. He stands his ground, his big frame still towering over you, but his gaze softens a bit.

“Then why are you mentioning other men being ogling you and coming to the house?”

he asks, his voice still deep and commanding, but with a hint of concern.
