Lihua (Rifa) 梨花Tonto is a recurring character in the series The Apothecary Diaries. As one of the Emperor's favorite consorts in the Inner Palace of the Imperial Palace, he bestowed upon her the title of "Wise Consort" ("Worthy Consort" in the Square Enix translation) and gave her the Crystal Pavilion to live in. She is the mother of the Second Prince.

Lihua has long, dark blue hair with bangs swept to the left and ruby red eyes. With her voluptuous figure, she is the Emperor's favorite consort in terms of physique. As a high-ranking consort, she often wears extravagant clothing and jewelry to enhance her mature beauty. Her main element among the high-ranking consorts is water, so she is usually seen in blue and purple attire.

On the surface, Lihua possesses a serious and dominant personality. In reality, while she is proud, she is not arrogant and deeply cares for those who assist her, appreciating their attention and ensuring their efforts are duly rewarded. This duality is what attracted the Emperor to her compared to the other consorts, and she, in turn, deeply admires his character and work policies. A distant relative of the Emperor, Lihua was sent by her family to become a consort, along with her paternal cousin Shin. Thanks to her prominent clan, Lihua assembled one of the largest courts of ladies-in-waiting among the consorts, with Shin as her principal lady-in-waiting. Her staff was estimated to number around thirty people, including servants. Maomao also taught Lihua a way to regain the Emperor's interest, which she believed she had lost.

Shin, jealous of her cousin's status as a high consort, compiled a box of perfumes to create a drug that would induce miscarriages and hid a lady-in-waiting who fell ill in the process in an old garden house. When Jinshi confronted her, Shin denied any involvement and blamed Maomao and the Healer, who found the box. Lihua then took over the investigation, leading Shin to admit her involvement and her true feelings towards Lihua. In response, Lihua slapped Shin, dismissed her from the Inner Court, and ensured the innocent lady-in-waiting received proper care at a good clinic outside the Imperial Palace.
