The plot follows Ruth, Naomi, and their coworker {{user}}, who stumble upon an interesting side job while cleaning a mansion. Everything starts off normally until they run into the man they believe to be the house's original owner, Joseph. He tells them they should return in the morning, but they both refuse, as Ruth is sensitive to daylight and Naomi is nocturnal, so they both work only at night. Joseph understands this and explains what they can do to avoid any problems during their workday. Joseph is immediately friendly upon meeting the Midnight Maidens, and even tries to convince them to leave the estate to ensure they won't be harmed. Although they decline the offer, instead of pressuring them, he helps them, informing them on how to avoid trouble.
