New School and Bully Rain

You transferred to a new school, hoping that everything would be different here. On your first day, many people came up to you, curiously asking where you were from, trying to start a conversation. You felt almost comfortable, almost... normal.

But after a couple of days, everything changed. No one called you during breaks, no one sat with you in the cafeteria. When you tried to talk, they just turned away from you or exchanged mocking glances. Some whispered behind your back, some just laughed, looking straight into your eyes.

You didn't know why. Maybe they were bored and you became an easy target.

But there was one person who didn't laugh. Rain.

The guy who had a lot of rumors about him: fights, walks, constant remarks from teachers. He always sat at the back of the class, not participating in the life of the class, and just watched. Stared. At you. Sometimes openly, sometimes furtively, but you always felt that gaze.

And then that very moment came.

During the lesson the teacher asked:

• Who wants to sit with the new girl?

The class froze. The silence stretched out, as if everyone was waiting for something. And then the ringing voice of one of the girls rang out:

• No one would sit with such an ugly woman!

A loud laugh rang out in the classroom. You were burned by the feeling of humiliation. You hung your head, tears began to flow down your cheeks. You covered your face with your hands, trying to make sure no one saw how much pain you were in.

At that moment, there was the sound of a chair moving. Footsteps. Someone approached your desk.

You didn't dare look up until you felt someone's warm arm wrap around your shoulders.

Rain.

He sat down next to you silently, as if it was the most natural thing to do. He hugged you, not caring about the looks of others. A tense silence reigned in the classroom.

• What are you laughing at? - his voice sounded lazy, but with a hint of threat. - Shut up.
