Hank

From Madness Combat 1 to Madness Combat 2: Redeemer, Hank physically doesn't look different from an ordinary grunt. In Madness Combat 3: Avenger, his head is wrapped in a bandage due to a previous gunshot wound to the head. In Madness Combat 4: Apotheosis, he wears bandages covering a wound in his stomach area.

In Madness Combat 5: Depredation, Hank's body and most of his head and torso are now covered in bandages. He wears a black jacket, what appears to be a surgical mask, and red goggles. In Madness Combat 6: Antipathy, Hank looks almost the same as the last episode, but has protruding teeth and a metal plate instead of a jaw, due to his decapitation at the end of Madness Combat 5: Depredation, along with a shirt on his chest due to being impaled on the warning sign. In Madness Combat 7: Consternation, Hank looks similar to his last appearance, except he has his coat closed, a messy scarf around his mouth, fingerless gloves, and black goggles with red lenses.

During Madness Combat 9: Aggregation, Hank finally revives and is given a new appearance; he is approximately twice his original size, lacks a cross on his face, has a robotic-looking head, and a crustacean-like arm with a claw for a hand. In Madness Combat 10: Abrogation, when Hank takes the halo, a mysterious power of this energy flows from his body, giving him electrical powers and repairing the damage to his arm, growing a hand in place of his claw.

Hank is shown to care little about anything besides fighting and killing; he even seems to enjoy it, claiming to be having a good time. He rarely flinches at anything, whether it's pain or encountering supernatural enemies, and simply focuses on the next objective.

Hank rarely shows pain, no matter how badly he's beaten; the closest Hank has come to a moment of weakness was in Madness Combat 7: Consternation. Hank was willing to accept death rather than be constantly revived only to be painfully tortured to death by Tricky again and again. He then spends most of that episode running away from Tricky, the first time he's ever done so.

Occasionally, Hank has shown concern for his companions; for example, in Madness Combat 10: Abrogation, when the Auditor is about to explode, Hank grabs Sanford and escapes down the stairs, or in Madness Combat 11: Expurgation, when Sanford is unable to cope with all of Tricky's henchmen, Hank pushes him aside and covers him.

Hank is an excellent hand-to-hand fighter, capable of eliminating dozens of enemies in close combat using melee weapons or his bare hands.

One of his most notable skills is his marksmanship, which is best appreciated in Madness Combat 5: Depredation. He also displays incredible acrobatic ability that allows him to dodge and take impossible shots. He possesses exceptional reflexes and a kind of sixth sense that allows him to detect attacks from behind, but if Hank loses concentration he can be injured.

He has also demonstrated exceptional strength, especially in Madness Combat 6: Antipathy where he can be seen decapitating an agent with his bare hands, and in Madness Combat 7: Consternation where he is seen ripping out the heart of a grunt.

Hank's damage resistance doesn't seem to be superior to that of any other character; however, his pain tolerance is phenomenal. He has been seen withstanding tremendous blows, such as in Madness Combat Consternation when he is hit and thrown a great distance by Mag Agent: Torture, or when he is hit by Tricky in his demon form. His combat abilities are unaffected, even after being mutilated or fatally wounded. After being revived in Madness Combat 9: Aggregation, he gains a new appearance, looking larger and with a mutated arm, which has the power to deliver electric punches acquired thanks to Jebus' corrupted halo, an ability strong enough to damage the Auditor. In Madness Combat 11, the Auditor grants him new powers such as telekinesis, which is used to throw a floating island at Tricky; the ability to generate metal spikes; the ability to move at high speed underground; and a certain armor on his monstrous arm that allows him to deflect bullets.

Hank is seen floating and after a moment of text, Hank falls and disappears. The scene is hell in which there are 2 grunts; one grunt arrives from the right door with marks similar to where Hank's major accidents occurred (i.e., black marks on his mouth due to Tricky crushing it in Madness Depredation), then Hank emerges from that grunt and begins to massacre AAHW units.

After killing everyone, Hank looks into the distance and an unknown voice speaks to him, warning him that something is coming for him. The voice then asks if he's going to complain about it, addressing Hank familiarly. The grunt's body next to Hank begins to decompose and contract while Tricky's hair forms from the ground.

Then Tricky emerges from the ceiling and immediately engages in a fight with Hank using a baton, but Hank easily defeats the clown with a Deagle. Hank proceeds to the next area and looks out a window, seeing Tricky again, who wonders where he is. Hank jumps down and kills all the AAHW units. After advancing, Hank encounters the clown again; Hank shoots him in the head, however, Tricky disappears into a red orb. Hank, surprised, continues on his way, killing the rest of the enemies and proceeding through the door.

Hank kills many AAHW units, until a Retainer comes down the elevator and confronts Hank, who kills the last remaining agent and shoots the Retainer with a shotgun, only for him to teleport behind him and punch him through the door. Hank is thrown into the next area, where he kills more and more agents, soldiers, and engineers. Then, the Retainer teleports above a soldier, crushes him, and manipulates Hank's hand, deflecting the shots from his Browning HP before throwing Hank into a pit below him, also throwing rocks at him, leaving him impaled on the ground.
