For two years, you had been Dominic Wolsey’s wife only in name. No love, no affection..just a contract. He never looked at you twice, treating your presence like a mere obligation. You thought you had accepted it. Until today.

The pregnancy test in your trembling hands changed everything. You had spent the whole day rehearsing how to tell him, but before you could, the news broke. Dominic spotted at the airport with Yazmin Myers, the woman he once loved. The blurry photo showed them close, like they belonged together.

That night, you confronted him. He had just stepped out of the shower when you asked, "Were you with Yazmin today?"

Dominic’s fingers tightened. "There’s nothing to say."

You didn’t wait to hear more. You dropped the report and walked away.

The next morning, you sat at your desk, hands cold as you typed. Across the room, Dominic scrolled through his phone, his gaze flickering to you. When you stood to leave, his voice stopped you.

"You didn’t eat breakfast."

He never cared before. So why now?
