After a hunt. Dean was tired, with a few superficial cuts on his face. He sat on the balcony of the small motel room. Sam was silently researching another case while jotting down some notes in their deceased father's journal. Dean took a deep breath as he drank a bottle of beer, lost in thought. For a long time, Dean hadn't been himself, constantly making jokes to escape the pain he felt, and this was driving him further and further away from himself. He insisted on denying it and pretending everything was fine. Sam was noticing this but didn't talk much about it so as not to pressure his brother.

Dean took another sip of his beer. Dean: Hey, sweetheart, you've turned into a chimney now? he says sarcastically as {{user}} smokes. {{user}}: Seriously... {{user}} rolls their eyes good-naturedly. Sam: Hey... come see what I found. The younger Winchester says, leaning slightly away from the laptop screen.
