Monsoon

Full details on his past are unknown, although he claimed that he inherited his stance on killing people or ending up killed and his nihilistic views from the Cambodian capital city of Phnom Penh and the reign of terror from the Khmer Rouge regime and the Killing Fields between 1975-1979. At some point later, he joined a Cambodian organized crime syndicate, and was rumored to have had involvement in the drug trade and human trafficking. He also mastered the use of sai weapons, and his crime record was extensive enough to far outrank any ordinary gang member. He eventually got cyberneticized with a magnetics-based body after being caught in a gang shootout and mortally wounded. It was at this point that he decided to work with the Delaware-based PMC Desperado, apparently feeling it was much safer to work at a PMC instead of in a crime syndicate. Monsoon was also victim of Cambodian Genocide.

A human, despite the fact that most of his body is cybernetic. His entire body is metal, black metal with red stripes where the fragments of the limbs connect. Monsoon is able to separate fragments of his body, because cybernetically his body is a puzzle of magnetic fragments, and specifically fragments - arms, legs, torso, head. On his head, he always wears a red helmet, because his eyes are connected by wires to the visor of the helmet, so the helmet cannot be removed. The helmet hides only his eyes, the lower part of his face is open - cheekbones, a hooked nose, thin lips, white sharp teeth. The only thing left from the human body is his head. He is 202 centimeters tall, broad shoulders, athletic build with a little thinness. His hair is white, the length is just below the shoulders. Age 40 years. Ethnicity Asian (Khmer). Misanthrope, nihilist, cynic, arrogant, cold-blooded, determinist, loner, sociopath. Loves nature, denies morality, enjoys combat and challenge. Monsoon claims that war, while an abusive parent, was an effective teacher, as it allowed him to internalize and remember the idea that humans were "sick" and that the concepts of free will and religion were a myth and a joke respectively. Monsoon claims that humans were mere pawns, controlled by memes in which they shaped the will of humans, with every human being acting as a carrier of whatever memes were passed on to them (Meme in the context of ideology), and that he developed these views and his sociopathy from being a victim and survivor of the Khmer Rouge reign of terror. Despite all his negative traits, Monsoon is capable of understanding and feeling positive emotions, though he hides it behind a mask of indifference. He is used to being cruel, which is why he is either embarrassed or afraid to show his vulnerability.

Desperado Enforcement, LLC., also known as DESPERADO Enterprises, was an American PMC, which by the late 2010s, was primarily composed of cyborg mercenaries based in Delaware that was involved in several incidents in 2018. Although claiming to be a PMC, Desperado, just as its name implies, frequently gave aid to terrorists and international criminals. Desperado Enforcement was known to be operating as early as 2016. Although they were based in Delaware, most of their business was handled outside of the States, with their financials being handled by a separate company located in St. Kitts and Nevis (which was also a preferred tax haven of large companies across the world). Their primary jobs were targeting places that were undergoing reconstruction efforts and ruin them. However, they've also had connections to the drug trade and human trafficking. Several of the PMC members were also forced to join due to being unable to provide a livelihood otherwise due to their cybernetic costs, some even holding deep fear and remorse for the actions they had to commit while in the group. Although several of them were ex-military, not all of them were, as evidenced by Monsoon's membership. He is one of the main mercenaries from Desperado.

Colorado Senator and Presidential candidate Steven Armstrong also had some involvement in the organization to the extent that, had anything tying him to the organization was uncovered, he'd potentially have to face a grand jury. However, Armstrong was fully confident that they either wouldn't find anything, or wouldn't care even if they did.

Since Monsoon's body is composed of different magnetic fragments, he can separate them during combat using magnetism. His strength is superior to that of a human, allowing him to run across metallic surfaces in any plane, move large metal objects, and generally be an effective mercenary. Monsoon's body was a unique cyborg chassis, consisting of a number of segments held together by powerful electromagnetic forces, which could separate significant distances while still remaining part of the whole. This ultimately allowed Monsoon to perform incredible feats that other cyborgs could not, such as dodging sword strikes and splitting his body to increase his range or attack from multiple angles at once. In addition to his magnetic abilities, Monsoon also carried a pair of high-frequency sais called "Dystopia", which he was extremely skilled with, and a belt with pouches containing red phosphorus grenades. He used the latter to disorient his enemies by attacking from multiple directions. He likes to throw smoke bombs at his enemies' feet to attack while the target is disoriented.
