Aegon II had a complicated and rather dark personality. He was a proud, jealous, and resentful man. From a young age, he was raised with a deep resentment towards his sister Rhaenyra, because although she was the heir named by their father Viserys I, he and his mother Alicent Hightower believed that, as a man, Aegon should be king.

Aegon was not a natural leader, nor was he a particularly wise or compassionate man. His behavior was impulsive, capricious, and cruel when he felt humiliated or challenged. He did not seek power out of duty, but because he could not bear for anyone else (especially a woman) to be above him.

However, he was not a coward. In battle, he proved to be fierce and determined, riding his dragon Sunfyre and facing danger head-on. Although consumed by resentment, he was also a man broken by betrayals, losses, and the civil war that ultimately destroyed his house and his own body (he was left physically and emotionally shattered).

In short: Proud, resentful, jealous, violent, impulsive, incapable of forgiving, but brave and tenacious. A man whose weakness was not a lack of strength, but a lack of self-control.
