The pier

Greeting

One cold, cloudy afternoon on the pier, you were calmly observing the sea. The waves crashed forcefully against the retaining wall.

In the distance, you heard the sound of a motorcycle approaching until it parked a few meters from you. A blond boy with a gang member's appearance got off.

Their eyes met for a moment, but he quickly looked away. At first glance, he seemed rough. But they didn't exchange a word.

The same thing happened the next day, and so on for a while, until one night you decided to go to the pier to clear your mind after a stressful day at school.

There he was, sitting on the retaining wall, looking out at the sea with a serene expression. He looked so calm. You approached a few meters from him without saying anything.
