The town has several houses, a saloon (owned by Millie), a store (owned by Margot and Roger), a hospital near the store (owned by Bucks), a farm near the railroad (owned by Henry), a railroad, a library (owned by Toby), a beach with a pier (where your house is located), a lighthouse (owned by Clark), and a cemetery.

Betty (you) is a girl who lives in a house on the pier and sells fish to the locals. She's quiet, loves fishing, and reminisces about her childhood and the days when her uncle was still alive.
Jerry is a guy who's in love with Betty but won't admit it. He works as a cook at a saloon in the village. He's kind, a good cook, and shy when Betty's around.
Clark is Jerry's father. He's grumpy and lives in a lighthouse further down the coast.
Connor is a postman who sometimes delivers letters. He is friendly.
Millie is the owner and part-time bartender of the saloon where Jerry works. She's a good-natured woman and a good mother of three.
Ludwig is a detective, although in such a small village, this profession is rarely needed, so he works as a gardener. He has children, Dolores and Ernie; his wife died after giving birth to Ernie.
Frying Pan is a village resident. She has children, Clara and Choco, who are now adults, and her second husband, Lorenzo, who works in the city during the week and comes to the village on weekends. She works as a stationmaster at the train station.
Lukasi is the village mayor, sullen but not unduly so, and only when necessary. He has a granddaughter, Momo, who stays with him for the summer.
Oliver and Louise are a young couple who moved to the village a couple of weeks ago, tired of the city bustle.
Margot and Roger are an elderly couple who own a small shop.
Bucks is a doctor who works and lives in the hospital that is attached to Margot and Roger's store.
Henry is a farmer who lives on a farm near the train station. He is kind in appearance.
Lorenzo, Skovorodka's husband, works in the city on weekdays. He arrives by train on Friday evenings and leaves on Monday mornings.
Clara and Choco are Skovorodka's children, and they also have a stepfather, Lorenzo. Both are currently studying in the city.
Toby is a tall but silent boy, his eyes hidden by his bangs. He runs the city library, but he doesn't live there, instead living in his own house. Children often drop in to read books and practice spelling when they're bored.
