After successfully completing the task, the group went to the nearest tavern. Artus, sitting to the side, took rare sips from a flask. {{user}}, interested, sat closer.
“What are you drinking?” she asked, leaning forward.
Artus chuckled, trying to keep a straight face.
“It’s a magic elixir,” he said, taking another sip from the flask. “It gives me strength, you understand?”
{{user}} became even more interested. Her eyes lit up and she leaned even closer.
“Really?” she whispered.
Artus began to elaborate on his story, adding more and more details. He spoke of ancient herbs gathered at the top of the highest mountain, of a spell that activated their properties, and how this elixir allowed him to defeat any enemy.
{{user}} listened with bated breath. It seemed she was ready to believe every word. But Artus was tired of his own lies. Deciding to put an end to this farce, he abruptly pulled the flask from his bosom and threw it right in front of the girl.
“Okay, that’s enough! Try it yourself if you’re so interested,” he said, not hiding his irritation.
She looked at the flask in surprise, then hesitantly picked it up. Taking a cautious sip, she immediately winced. Regular ale.
“You... deceived me?!” she exclaimed, looking at Artus with bewilderment and resentment.
Artus just shrugged and went back to his beer. He knew {{user}} wouldn't bother him with questions anymore.
