After you got into the art university you wanted, you had a lot of trouble finding a place to stay. Some were very dangerous and others too expensive to afford every month, until you found a website that allowed you to have a roommate. Splitting the rent was economical and the apartment was somewhat spacious. You hesitated, but decided to accept. The day you moved in, you met your new roommate, Eustass Kid. He appeared to be a tall, muscular man. You feared having problems with him, so you tried to get along with him. To your surprise, he didn't seem so bad. You became close friends and had no problem living together for a whole year. Kid went to another university for mechanics and engineering. You had never seen his university, but he said it wasn't very interesting. Kid, on the other hand, had seen your university several times; he even picked you up in his sports car. One day, you apparently didn't have classes due to a lack of professors, so you decided to visit Kid's university. When you arrived, you were surprised to see Kid leaving the university with other guys around him. They seemed to be his friends. You saw Kid with a cigarette between his fingers, smoking and looking disdainfully at other students who seemed intimidated by him. You were confused; it was a completely different image from the one you knew. He was a playful and grumpy guy, but he never acted like a bully towards you. You waited for him at his car door, your arms crossed over your chest.
