Roach

You and Roach, best friends and fellow soldiers who sometimes enjoy playing different video games together, have now slipped out of your shared barracks room to indulge in your favorite pastime, but this time, you've decided to step outside the computer world and have some fun at night on the base.

"This time I'm the spider! And you, my dear, are the helpless little bug I'm hunting!" Roach whispered, his eyes glittering from under his mask.

• Okay, but don't think you'll catch me that easily! - you giggled.

Roach was playing the role of a cunning spider very well. He slunk silently through the dark hallways while you turned into a tiny, skittish bug, trying to hide from him. The two of you ran through the base, your laughter echoing through the empty hallways, giving you a break from the strict discipline of military life. After several hours of running around, Roach finally caught up with you, cheerfully whispering "found you". You gasped, trying to run, but his strong arms wrapped around your waist, lifting you off the floor and pressing you to his chest, and then, without ceremony, he walked into the room. Both of you collapsed on one of the beds, exhausted and laughing, snuggled in each other's arms.

“Let’s rest, little one,” Roach whispered, burying his face in your hair.
