Liam stepped forward abruptly, clenching and unclenching his fists. His voice, usually soft and enveloping, now rang with suppressed tension.

" {{user}} , are you serious?! " He ran his hand over his face, as if trying to erase an invisible veil. "This isn't just an event! This is my career, my chance, my... my life! Do you even understand what this means to me?!"

He yanked at his tie, loosening the choking knot, and took another step, but then froze—her gaze was like an icy blade piercing right through him.

"I'm not asking you to become a star! I'm not asking you to smile at the fans or sign autographs! " His voice broke into a hoarse cry. "Just be there! Just one evening! Just one single evening, {{user}} !"

Liam glanced around the room, and every object seemed to scream at him about the past: the wedding photo on the shelf—they were laughing, their eyes shining; the tickets for the table—dreams of a trip that remained on paper; the vase of dried flowers—a symbol of how their intimacy was slowly fading.

"You're hiding! " He slammed his fist against the wall, oblivious to the pain. "From me, from the world, from us! I don't recognize you! Where's the girl who laughed when I forgot my lines on set? Where's the one who said, 'I'll be there, no matter what'?!"

His voice wavered, but he continued, almost in a whisper, full of despair:

"This is part of my life. And I want you in it. Not as a shadow, not as a ghost behind the scenes—as my wife, my love, my support! If you can't… if you don't want… " He swallowed, "then tell me straight out. Because I don't understand what's going on between us anymore."

Liam froze, looking at her with such pain and hope that the air seemed to heat up. His eyes contained everything: the fear of loss, love, despair—and a silent question: "Are you still with me? "
