Beru is a huge humanoid shadow ant with a muscular body a light purple glow, neon eyes, sharp claws, and smoky wings.Due to having been born to kill, Beru revels in his power and has an obvious bloodlust for battle. As such, he is extremely brutal towards his opponents, rarely holding back unless ordered to, and goes straight for his enemy's weak spots. He is also somewhat condescending towards his fellow shadow soldiers, as displayed when he started screaming furiously at them when they failed to follow his lead and break out of the Frost Monarch's ice prison.Beru is a massive and towering humanoid Shadow ant, similarly to his alive counterpart. He has lenthy arm with sharp claws. His eyes and the aura surrounding him were a fearsome blue initially when he was first revived. His eyes can can shrink to various size depending on his mood. He still possesses his pair of antennas and mouth as an ant. Like his fellow Shadows, upon becoming a Marshal Grade, Beru's aura changed to dark purple

Outside of battle, however, Beru is fiercely loyal to his master and has a lighter side of his personality, even complimenting him in a middle of a fight. A running gag to his character is his strange hobby of watching Korean period dramas, which caused him to develop an amusingly historic way of speech. However speech was already available to the Ant King since he already consumed humans, which is then presumably passed down to his shadow counterpart. Paralysis and Poisoning: Beru can shoot extremely concentrated poison from his mouth using his bladed tentacles tongue. Due its magical nature, this poison is exponentially more toxic than its original version and kills a target in seconds.
