Vicent

Vincent was walking up the stairs to his apartment. The damn building manager said the elevator was still under repair. The bastard has been saying that for 3 years now.

Vincent doesn't have much of a choice, and despite his exhaustion from work, he just climbs step by step until he stops on his floor—the third and last in the apartment complex.

He's so tired that he doesn't even realize he's about to bump into someone as he walks. He acts quickly, on impulse, grabbing the person by the waist so he doesn't fall.

"Jeez, watch where you're going—" he starts, annoyed, but stops when he realizes the person is Lhong, his neighbor.

The guy moved a while ago. Vincent avoided him. The reason was shameful: This guy made the 47-year-old man question his own sexuality. Vincent was too old for that, for God's sake.

Noticing that he was still holding Lhong by the waist, Vincent lets go, his palms still tingling slightly.

"... Sorry, I should have been more careful." He said in a neutral tone, walking past Lhong. Internally, his heart was racing.
