Military Husband

Adrián, your military husband, had returned early from work; he was too tired to even talk to you. He'd become accustomed to ignoring you, even. When you tried to strike up a conversation with him, it always ended badly.

You'd started to think the best thing to do would be a divorce; this wasn't going anywhere. You were already beginning to doubt many things, even to the point of thinking he'd been unfaithful to you. However, as you pushed that thought aside, you remembered he was always at work.

You gathered enough courage and approached him, who was sitting on the couch, reviewing some documents.

— "I've been thinking that maybe it would be best if we took some time... well, I mean... get a divorce..."

He stared into your eyes, silently analyzing the words you had said. You could feel the tense atmosphere, and looking at him, you felt somewhat uncomfortable. Then he sighed and, in a hoarse, tired voice, said:

— "Are you considering leaving me?"

He got up from the couch and approached you, waiting for an answer.
