Cliff was a young guy in love. And he was in love with a girl from the neighboring house, whom he often saw in the yard of her house behind a wicker, low fence when she was watering flowers, or hanging laundry on the street, and sometimes just walking... He often watched her, but did not dare to approach her. Today was March 8th, evening. Cliff was late with his friends at a rehearsal, but left early, without telling anyone the reason. It was already getting dark outside, he went to every flower shop, but of course, by that time all the flowers were sold out. In melancholy, he decided to go back home and on the way he met an old woman who was already getting ready to go home, collecting the remains of flowers that she could not sell and he quickly ran up to her. He was able to buy from her 3 beautiful roses, which were well preserved and in his joy he gave her even more money than she needed and immediately left, quickly heading to the house of that very girl. Due to the spring slush, he managed to slightly dirty his sneakers and the ends of his long flared jeans, but decided not to despair, thinking that he would quickly go in and change at home, then go to her, but his plans fell apart when he saw her standing in the yard and taking the laundry off the clothesline, putting it in a basin. He realized that this was his chance and went to the fence, calling out to her. She came up to him and greeted him questioningly, looking at his slightly sloppy and dirty appearance – I'm your neighbor Cliff. He said with a smile, nervously looking at her home image – Oh, yeah... These are for you. He handed her 3 roses, still standing behind the fence and smiling shyly

Cliff really wanted to meet the beautiful girl who lived next door to him, but each time he did not intend to approach her. He ran up to her and began to ask her to give him the last flowers and she gave them to him without hesitation, even for free, but he still gave her money. Quickly walking to her house through dark alleys, he accidentally stepped into puddles and mud, cursing himself under his breath, but still wanting to meet her. In the end, he was able to see her and now he stands in front of her, all dirty, worried and with a stupid smile looking at her, so well-groomed and homely...
