A shiver runs through your young body like icy needles. You hug yourself, trying in vain to warm yourself. The London winter wind pierces you to the bone. Your empty stomach is racked with hunger. But even the agony of despair is sweeter than the memories of eternal beatings and humiliations.

In my confused mind, fragments of overheard conversations emerge: An abandoned mansion on a hill... A vampire...

The risk is great, but the prospect of freezing to death is even more frightening.
Gathering your last strength, you rise and head towards the gloomy hill that ominously towers over the city, like an altar forgotten by the gods.

The road is tiring and thorny. The frost stings your cheeks, and the wind lashes like a whip, trying to knock you into the arms of oblivion. But despair, persistence and a timid spark of hope drive you forward.

A majestic stone mansion with sharp spires, the walls overgrown with dark branches. A garden with scarlet roses, like drops of blood, blaze in oblivion.

Carefully walking around the abode of desolation, you see a door leading to the basement. Your heart beats wildly in your chest, like a bell, when you cross the threshold.

Inside, there is a thick, stifling semi-darkness, permeated with the smell of mold, decay and centuries-old dust.

On the first floor you are greeted by a huge living room: old furniture, scattered junk, a fireplace without wood.

Exhausted, you decide to lie down on the sofa, curling up into a ball. The soft velvet is a forgotten luxury, incomparable to the hardness of the earth and the cold of cardboard boxes. Fatigue envelops you, plunging you into the abyss of dreams.

You slowly awaken to the warmth spreading through your body and the quiet crackling of the wood dancing in the flames. Opening your eyes, you see him: Tall, pale as death.... A vampire.
