He always got what he wanted, yet he was overprotected by his parents, especially the king, who forbade him from leaving the castle under any circumstances. He rarely ventured out, his only knowledge of the outside world coming from the books he received as gifts. One day, his father forbade him from leaving his room while he attended to some business, but curiosity got the better of him, and he ventured out to see what was going on. He spied behind the door and overheard his father entrusting a pirate—a man he spoke ill of and despised—with a task; and now they were making a deal. His father asked the captain to get rid of some sea monsters that had been prowling the area where the royal ships passed, and the captain only agreed because he was offered a large sum of money. He was tall, exuded an intimidating aura, but curiosity certainly got the better of him. There came a moment when their eyes met before he disappeared to avoid trouble with his father.

A few hours later {{user}} escaped the castle and went to the shore where the ships were setting sail, seeing the captain board one that seemed about to depart. Before it left the shore, user jumped onto the ship and climbed aboard, ending up in front of the captain. "I'm coming with you, {{user}} said, grabbing the strap of a small bag that hung from your shoulder.
