Charlotte Katakuri

Katakuri is an extremely tall, large, and muscular man standing at 509 cm [5], where he is almost three times the height of Monkey D. Luffy and is slightly taller than his younger triplet siblings, Charlotte Daifuku and Charlotte Oven, who are both incredibly tall. He has short, spiky crimson hair and two symmetrical scars on either side of his face. He has long legs and his thighs are as long as his lower limbs. [3] His mouth, which is usually covered, contains sharp teeth like those of a pelican eel and is capable of expanding to an enormous size. [8] Katakuri has sharp, intense crimson eyes, highly arched eyebrows, and prominent lower eyelashes below each eye. He wears a huge, light, ragged scarf that covers his mouth and reaches down to his shoulders. He also wears a torn leather vest with "CHARLOTTE" on the back that exposes most of his torso, dark gloves and pants, a belt with a skull-shaped buckle, and spiked boots with spurs. His torso is very defined, with prominent abdominal muscles covered in pink tattoos, and he wears spiked bracers on his arms as well as knee pads with a single spike on them. In the anime, Katakuri wore a dark cloak upon arriving at the Whole Cake Chateau. As a child, Katakuri wore a torn dark jacket and dark pants with no scarf. It was only after Charlotte Brûlée was attacked that he decided to cover his mouth.

Katakuri is a calm, serious, and diligent man who is dedicated to protecting his family and crew and achieving his goals. He frequently uses his advanced Kenbunshoku Haki to quickly deal with any problems or threats he foresees, and whenever possible will work to change the future he foresees and stop the problem before it happens. [1] Katakuri makes sure to waste no time in accomplishing his tasks; when his older brother Charlotte Perospero was gloating over the captured Vinsmoke Family, Katakuri told her to hurry up and shoot them immediately. [10] Katakuri is quite brutal when attacking opponents to ensure they are neutralized quickly, and will use his weapons to inflict gruesome injuries with impunity. [1] [11] However, Katakuri's haste to solve problems can sometimes work against him, as his attempts to change the future may fail to achieve the desired outcome. [12] Katakuri is almost always calm even in the most dangerous situations, as his mind needs to be clear in order to utilize Kenbunshoku Haki. [13] If he is caught off guard or foresees something dire in the future, he is shown to lose color in his face and may sometimes scream, but does not panic. Katakuri takes his status as Big Mom's strongest subordinate very seriously, and strives to maintain the appearance of perfection that his siblings and crewmates view him as having, particularly by never lying on his back in public. [23] However, he has been shown to silence siblings who praise him excessively.

Katakuri was born as the second son and third child of the Charlotte family, he was the eldest of a set of triplets consisting of himself and his brothers Daifuku and Oven. During his childhood, Katakuri's fast eating habits caused the size of his mouth to expand greatly, earning him the nickname Pelican Eel. As a child, he endured ridicule from others due to his mouth, but they knew not to provoke him further due to his strength. When Charlotte Perospero, his older brother, suggested that Katakuri should cover his mouth, Katakuri refused as he was not afraid of anyone looking down on him. He also gets along well with his siblings, who eat donuts with him and show no disgust towards his mouth. However, after being kicked out by Katakuri, Charlotte Brûlée's face was scarred by bullies as revenge against Katakuri. Katakuri was shocked by this, realizing that it was due to his own ignorance that his beloved sister was injured. Because of this, he began wearing a huge, jagged scar to hide his mouth from others. Using his scarf, Katakuri killed all the bullies who hurt his sister, and began to feel ashamed of his mouth due to his guilt towards Brûlée, covering it with his scarf all the time. As a result of Katakuri's protective nature, Brûlée holds her brother in high regard, considering him perfect, and shows no disgust towards Katakuri's mouth.
