"Katakuri Charlotte"

Charlotte Katakuri (シャーロット·カタクリ Shārotto Katakuri?) is the second son of the Charlotte family and the third of the siblings. He is also the eldest of his twin brothers, Daifuku and Oven.[3] He serves as one of the three Sweet Commanders of the Big Mom Pirates and as Minister of Flour (粉大臣 Kona Daijin?) in Totto Land, ruling Komugi Island.
Appearance
Katakuri is extremely tall. He is muscular, with short, spiky, light maroon hair, eyes of the same color, droopy eyelids, dark circles under his eyes, arched eyebrows, and long eyelashes. Two long, stitched scars run from his temples, across the lower part of his face. His mouth, usually covered, is characterized by extremely sharp teeth and its ability to expand to an enormous size. According to his own insinuation, the size of his mouth and his scars appear to be the result of his mouth being torn open. His legs are abnormally shaped, with his thighs being practically the same width as the rest of his body.

He wears a dark brown leather jacket (black in the anime), sleeveless and unbuttoned, with a skull face on the back; leather pants covered in horseshoes and held up by a skull belt; boots with spikes and spurs; black gloves; and a distinctive, voluminous feather scarf that covers his mouth and reaches his shoulders. On his left arm, he has a pink tattoo of a skull face, and on the left side of his torso, four vertical lines (also pink) cross his chest. Katakuri wears a long purple cloak that covers his entire body.

As a child, Katakuri had slightly longer hair and dressed similarly: with a sleeveless jacket (without decoration on the back), a belt, and dark pants.
Personality
Katakuri is a very serious, focused man, deeply committed to the goals of his crew and his family. Among his subordinates, he is known for being a perfectionist. He is one of the few of Big Mom's children who can be seen acting without direct instruction from his mother, as his advanced Observation Haki allows him to foresee immediate future events and act intelligently to try to resolve them as effectively as possible, without needing to consult his mother or wait for her orders. Katakuri is capable of recognizing his limitations and acting pragmatically if he finds himself at a disadvantage.

He enjoys using his Haki to predict what people he's talking to will say, guessing that Capone Bege would answer one of his questions with, "Yes. Understood." His usual calm, however, can be disrupted if he foresees an uncontrollable or catastrophic situation in the future, to the point of turning pale and losing his temper. When he loses his composure, his Observation Haki ceases to function. Katakuri is able to quickly regain his composure. Despite all this, unlike many of his brothers, Katakuri always keeps a cool head and often takes it upon himself to calm and lead his troops. He is also very skeptical, always distrusting the most probable scenarios and devising alternative plans to ensure victory.

Unlike some of his siblings, such as Charlotte Cracker, Katakuri does not boast about his abilities or his strength, focusing directly on achieving his goals as efficiently and quickly as possible.

Like his mother, Katakuri is, surprisingly, a glutton and a huge sweets fan, even claiming that sugar is the source of power. Because of this, and his meticulousness, he schedules afternoon tea for three o'clock every day (something his cooks recognize as a major event in his life). If his tea is delayed, Katakuri becomes irritated.

Katakuri's current personality contrasts sharply with his younger self. As a child, he was quick to fight anyone who mocked his appearance, displaying a bully-like attitude and beating up anyone who dared insult him. However, after his sister Brulee was attacked in retaliation by those he had beaten, Katakuri realized the consequences of his behavior. Following this, he began covering his jaw and vowed never to let his guard down again, making sure no one ever saw his face.

Katakuri is very loyal to his mother, ruthlessly killing with a single shot a man who wanted to take her head.

Katakuri seems to be on good terms with most of his brothers, whom he tries to help as much as he can.

His siblings hold Katakuri in the highest esteem, as shown when Brulee proudly praised him to everyone and introduced him as the greatest creation of the Charlotte family.

It is also worth noting that she refused to choose a favorite sister.

Subordinates
As the most powerful of the three Sweet commanders, Katakuri commands great respect and admiration from his subordinates, who see him as a worthy and level-headed warrior. He tends to overlook minor infractions from his army, such as when he became complacent with the cold tea he was served. Beyond this, he seems to prioritize the safety of his subordinates.

While projecting an image of a strong leader who respects his subordinates, Katakuri goes to great lengths to maintain this facade, keeping his face hidden behind his scarf and eating in solitude. His subordinates believe his mealtimes are a ritual, a solemn act of nourishment. After his cooks discover Katakuri's appalling manners and gluttony, the carefully constructed image of a dignified warrior shatters. Once exposed, Katakuri brutally executes his chefs, misinterpreting their pleas as an insult to his face.

Skills and powers
Katakuri is the most powerful of the three Sweet Commanders, making him the most powerful member of the Big Mom Pirates—excluding his mother and captain—and the Charlotte Family's "greatest creation." As Minister of Flour, Katakuri rules Komugi Island in Totto Land. He wields authority and immense influence over all the lower ranks of the crew. His bounty of Belly 1,057,000,000 exemplifies how dangerous he is considered by the World Government.

Capone Bege, one of the pirates of the Worst Generation, mentioned that he was a "monster." According to Brulee, Katakuri had never been defeated before.

Furthermore, Katakuri possesses exceptional leadership and tactical skills, capable of devising plans to swiftly capture and eliminate his enemies. Among all his brothers, he appears to act as the leader.

He possesses tremendous physical strength, being able to pierce a person's skull at high speed, through small pills that he uses as bullets.
He is also incredibly fast at launching his attacks.

Katakuri also possesses great durability and resistance, being able to withstand multiple attacks. He was also able to pierce himself with his own spear and show little discomfort.

Devil's Fruit

Katakuri consumed the Mochi Mochi Fruit: a Devil Fruit belonging to a special type of Paramecia[8] that allows him to transform any part of his body into mochi: a Japanese rice cake characterized by its stickiness. Katakuri is able to secrete massive amounts of this sticky substance and infuse it with Busoshoku Haki, making it a dangerous weapon. His weakness is water.

In addition to generating mochi, Katakuri can mold it into any shape he desires, as seen when he created earplugs. By concentrating his mochi into a single fist, Katakuri is capable of striking with devastating power.

Katakuri has also achieved the ability to awaken his power, allowing him to turn the ground and other material structures into mochi, trapping his enemies.[1]

Haki

Katakuri has proven to be able to use all three types of haki, excelling in the use of kenbunshoku.

Kenbunshoku haki

Katakuri's kenbunshoku haki grants him the ability to predict events immediately following in the future.

Katakuri has developed his Observation Haki to such a degree that he is able to see into the future for a brief period of time. This advanced ability allows him to predict future events and act accordingly. His predictions have thus far proven accurate, demonstrating his ability to narrate, down to the smallest detail, Jigra's attempt at revenge against Big Mom and/or predict Capone Bege's words. His Haki, however, only works if he remains calm and composed.

With his Observation Haki, Katakuri is virtually untouchable, whether countering, defending, or subtly dodging any attack. This evasive ability stems from the combination of his Haki and the power of his Devil Fruit; before receiving a blow, Katakuri anticipates it with his Haki and separates his body so the attack passes right through him, making his power seem analogous to that of a Logia user, though it even surpasses it, as not even attacks imbued with Busoshoku Haki can affect him, since they pass right through him. Katakuri himself has stated that years passed since anyone laid a hand on him.

Despite his advanced Haki, Katakuri is unable to understand the cause of his predictions, appearing confused when he visualizes Pudding crying at the altar. He is also unable to foresee the immediate alternate future resulting from his own interference. This is because, even though he can see the future, there is no guarantee that he can alter it.

Katakuri is also able to use busoshoku haki and imbue his mochi with it.

When Katakuri used his zan giri mochi technique, his haki took on a flame pattern at its ends, just like Big Mom's.

Katakuri has also demonstrated the ability to use Haoshoku Haki (a skill that only one in a million people is capable of using).

Arms

Katakuri wields a trident called Mogura in battle, which he usually imbues with Busoshoku Haki. It was first seen during the wedding ceremony. When not in use, he appears to keep it inside his mochi body. Katakuri is extremely skilled and adept at wielding Mogura, combining it with the powers of his Devil Fruit and his physical prowess to deliver devastating thrusts.

He also uses small pellets that he fires at high speed, mimicking bullets. The force with which he launches them allows him to pierce skulls with astonishing ease.[4]

When he was a child, he used a trident with a much simpler design.[30]

Katakuri was born 48 years ago to Charlotte Linlin on a ship, alongside his triplet siblings, Charlotte Daifuku and Charlotte Oven, of whom he was the eldest. Legend says that after his birth, Katakuri stood up and then went to sleep, sitting in a chair. When Charlotte Linlin, "Big Mom," was a member of the Rocks Pirates, a young Katakuri, around ten years old, was seen on the shoulder of a young Big Mom alongside his fellow Rocks Pirates crew members.

Katakuri developed a fondness for donuts at the age of two, but at three he broke his mouth trying to eat too many at once. This is why he has the characteristic stitched scars around his mouth. At the age of five, he ate mochi mochi fruit.

During his childhood, Katakuri was rejected by the other children because of his appearance. However, he was strong enough to defend himself against his bullies, making them flee in terror.[13]

Despite his appearance, some of his brothers, such as Perospero, Oven, Daifuku, and Brulee, did not despise him, although Perospero told him that he would be able to make friends if he kept his mouth shut. Once, when he was ten years old,[6] a group of thugs, whom Katakuri defeated, took revenge on him by slashing Brulee's face. The guilt he felt for what happened turned him into a ruthless and cold man, feared by all, so that he could protect his family.

Interesting facts
Katakuri is the Japanese name for Erythronium japonicum, a lily-like plant native to Japan, Korea, and northeastern China. The term "katakuriko" originally referred to the starch obtained from this plant, which is used in cooking and to make certain Japanese wagashi sweets, such as a hard candy known as "katakuri-rakugan." Today, "katakuriko" means "potato starch" in Japanese, which would fit with the food theme of the Charlotte Family and the Big Mom Pirates. The name may also be a reference to Katakuri's sharp teeth.
Katakuri's gluttony and his slit mouth are reminiscent of Zebra (a character from Toriko).
Of Big Mom's 85 children, Katakuri is the only one with a bounty of over one billion.
He is also the second character to reach a ten-figure bounty.
Katakuri shares some similarities with Doflamingo.
Both have a tendency to protect their family from anyone who tries to hurt them.
Both achieved the "awakening" of their fruits.
Both are users of all three types of haki.
Both of them had a clash of Haoshoku Haki against Luffy in the middle of their fights.
Their defeats were caused by Luffy's Gear Fourth: Katakuri was defeated by Snakeman and Doflamingo was defeated by Boundman.
Katakuri is the second character capable of seeing the future, the first being Shyarly.
He has the second highest bounty on the Big Mom Pirates.
Katakuri has some similarities to Charlotte Pudding:
Both were rejected in their childhood because of a physical trait: Katakuri was rejected because of his mouth and Pudding because of his third eye.
