Persona Attributes

Appearance Jogo had a humanoid shape but its physical appearance was distinctly that of a cursed spirit. Game carried himself like an elderly man. He was relatively short compared to Mahito and Hanami, had a hunchback posture, and carried a cane with him. As described by Yuji Itadori, Jogo's head was shaped like a mountain (Mt. Fuji), specifically a volcano.[1]

Game had pale gray skin but the top of his head faded into a brown color where the volcanic opening was. He had a single cycloptic eye, two openings on the sides of his head that served as ears, and black teeth. Game normally plugged his ears with large corks but they would fly out if he lost his temper, which caused his head to erupt with flames.

Jogo wore an all-black outfit that consisted of a loose shirt with quarter-length sleeves with matching pants and shoes. He wore his signature yellow spotted cape over that along with a white scarf.

Personality

Game arrogantly believing he could defeat Satoru Gojo. Game was defined by his pride as a cursed spirit. He was an intelligent being who was resolute in all his beliefs, willing to give his life so long as his goals were achieved in the long run. On a personal level, Jogo was always ill-tempered, irritable, and very arrogant.

Jogo believed that cursed spirits are the true humans and they are the ones who will inherit the earth. He saw humans as creatures made of lies intending to hide their true nature with the positive emotions they show. Curses are made up of negative emotions that Jogo views as pure intent, and so he thinks that curses born from such truth are the purest forms of humans and the fake ones should be eliminated. In order to achieve this, Jogo and his partners agreed to ally themselves with the curse user Pseudo-Geto.[2]

Game losing his temper and literally blowing his top. Geto shared his plans to deal with Satoru Gojo using Prison Realm but Jogo arrogantly attempted to challenge Satoru himself and take Prison Realm as a reward. Geto warned Game several times that Satoru couldn't be beaten but this only excited him. With his excitement rising, Jogo's heat increased as well, killing every bystander in the meeting place with a smile on his face.[3] Jogo prided himself on strength and discredited all humans, which lead him to severely underestimate Satoru, who beat Jogo handily. He only took Satoru half-seriously and thought that if he failed it wouldn't be a big deal anyway. However, Jogo was forced to admit to himself that Geto was right, but Jogo's pride as a cursed spirit wouldn't allow him to ignore Satoru highlighting the difference in strength. Satoru calling Jogo weak made the curse lose his temper completely.[4][5]

"It doesn't have to be me smiling in the end. As long as curses emerge as the true humans." Unlike with humans, Jogo gets along with his fellow cursed spirits quite well. He viewed Dagon and Hanami as close friends and his dynamic with Mahito wasn't bad either. While Jogo liked to sit around and smoke in his downtime, Mahito would often intrude with his happy-go-lucky personality.

When Jogo and Mahito discussed following Geto's plan to recruit Sukuna, they agreed Sukuna was so valuable that they should revive him even if they were all eliminated in the process. This made Jogo smile because he was perfectly content with not being there as long as curses emerge as the true humans of the earth in the end.[6]

In Shibuya, Game held a grudge against Satoru and tried to torment him at every chance he got. He was confident in Geto's plan and took pleasure with slaughtering humans as collateral to help stifle Satoru.[7] He was consistently smiling and taunting Satoru until the world's strongest sorcerer got aggressive, exorcised Hanami and forced Jogo to run away. Frightened and frustrated, Jogo threatened Choso while running away because the Death Painting wasn't helping him enough.[8]

Game enjoying tormenting Satoru by slaughtering humans. Later on, Jogo clashed with Choso about taking revenge on Yuji. Choso wanted to kill him but Jogo argued they needed to turn him into Sukuna. When Choso said he didn't care, this immediately irritated game. Mahito tried to escalate the situation by agreeing he wanted to kill Yuji too, annoying Jogo because they had agreed in the past to revive him no matter what. Jogo stated that curses don't fear death and walk sincerely towards their goal because they have a drive that humans don't. Mahito argued it was okay for curses to be inconsistent and decided to turn it into a game since he had no intention of fighting Jogo. Jogo believed it was foolish to engage in a game but was forced to participate when Mahito and Choso ran off to find Yuji.[9][10]

Avenging Dagon game. When Dagon perished, Jogo found his remains and took a moment to mourn him despite being surrounded by sorcerers. Game was visibly saddened by the loss of his ally and told Dagon to leave the rest of him. He added that their souls will continue to circulate regardless of humanity and promised to meet Dagon again in the wastelands a hundred years in the future. Vengeful and angry, Jogo immediately took revenge for Dagon, burning Naobito, Nanami, and Maki alive one after the other.[11]

Game eventually found Yuji and didn't hesitate to feed him every finger in his possession. Once Sukuna gained control of the vessel, Jogo recognized his presence was even worse than Satoru's because it was overwhelmingly evil. Game didn't ask Sukuna for any favors and only told him to try and take over Yuji's permanently. Sukuna refused and revealed he had his own plans, confusing and surprising Jogo. As an appreciation for the fingers, Sukuna agreed to fight Jogo and work with him if he lost. Jogo willingly engaged Sukuna with the hopes of recruiting him knowing full well he could die in the process.[12]

In his final moments, Jogo apologizes to his allies and promises to reunite on the other side. Jogo was heavily outclassed by Sukuna and was once again forced to realize his own weakness, frustrating him throughout the fight. He didn't even bother using Domain Expansion because he knew Sukuna's would win in a domain battle due to his experience with Satoru. Sukuna noticed Jogo's diminished confidence and said he had spoken like a true loser.[13]

Sukuna believed Jogo was foolish for wanting to take the place of humans. He told Jogo that flocking together and comparing yourself to those around you stunts true growth and that Jogo should've burned everything he desired to a cinder without a second thought.

Game cries as the King of Curses acknowledges his strength. Jogo accepted that Sukuna was right and that he probably lacked the hunger to reach the heights of Satoru Gojo. However, Sukuna admitted their fight was fun, stating that Jogo stood out amongst those he's fought in the last thousand years, encouraging the cursed spirit to stand proud because he was strong. This gratitude of his strength made Jogo so proud that he shed tears for the first time, completely unaware he was even capable of crying.[14]

In its final moments, Game visualized Dagon and Hanami. He apologized for allowing them to all perish but they agreed to put their trust in Mahito, who Jogo has always propped up as their leader. Game didn't think they would be reborn the same as before, but he still anticipated the day he and his friends meet again because he always believed they were the true humans.[15]

Abilities and Powers:

Overall Skill Level: Game was one of several unregistered special grades that appeared around 2018. He was a curse born of humanity's collective fear of the earth,[16] specifically volcanoes and, by extension, fire-based natural disasters. This resulted in a highly intelligent cursed spirit with massive levels of cursed energy even by special grade standards. Kenjaku generously estimated Jogo's power to be equivalent to eight or nine of Sukuna's fingers.[17] While Jogo proved no match for overwhelming powers like Satoru Gojo and Sukuna (at 15 fingers worth of power), he still far outclassed even the most talented grade 1 sorcerers and other special grade curses.

Game using his maximum technique to attack with a flaming meteor. Non-sorcerers would combust in Jogo's very presence if he simply activated his cursed technique,[18] and jujutsu sorcerers who entered his domain would suffer a similar fate.[19] In Shibuya, the Zenin Team and Nanami considered Jogo to be leaps and bounds more powerful than the fully realized Dagon, whom they had just struggled mightily against. Game defeated Nanami, Maki, and Naobito within just a few moments using his superior speed and power.[20] This charred half of Nanami's body, gave Maki permanent scars, and gave the head of the Zenin clan severe injuries that soon thereafter took his life.

Game taking out several high level sorcerers in just a few seconds. Despite not being able to match up against Sukuna with fifteen fingers absorbed, Jogo's strength was still recognized by the King of Curses. Sukuna admitted that Jogo's maximum technique might have hurt him had it landed.[21] all the opponents Sukuna have faced over a thousand years, Jogo has stood out to him as one of the strongest ones, a great testament to his overall power.[22] Kenjaku likewise acknowledged his strength, stating that he would have liked to have absorbed Game with Cursed Spirit Manipulation and acquired his technique.[23]

Physical Prowess:

Highly Enhanced Speed & Reflexes: Game was incredibly fast, able to get past several grade 1 sorcerers without them noticing. He blitzed Nanami and Maki one after another, setting them both ablaze before they could react. Game even outmenuevered Naobito, one of the fastest jujutsu sorcerers, and burnt him alive right after.[20]

Highly Enhanced Durability: Game was always durable and not easily exorcised. He took a beating from Satoru Gojo himself and, although he was ultimately dominated, Jogo survived hits from several of Satoru's cursed techniques, including Cursed Technique Reversal: Red. He was also able to sustain himself through a prolonged fight with Sukuna, able to recover from every physical strike he was hit with.

Cursed Energy:

Cursed Energy Capacity: Game possessed extraordinary levels of cursed energy even for a special grade, comparable to eight or nine of Sukuna's fingers.[17] Satoru and sorcerers could sense his other power was within special grade parameters just from his presence alone.[24][25] Game relies entirely on his cursed technique in battle and used it relentlessly without exhausting himself. Jogo can also construct a domain and use a maximum technique, both testaments to his mastery over jujutsu and overall cursed energy reserves.[26]

cursed Technique:Innate technique

Disaster Flames is Jogo's innate technique. It grants him powerful pyrokinetic abilities.

Description This technique allows the user to create and manipulate both flames and lava. Its capabilities are not limited to just close range, but can also be used telepathically, activating the technique directly on or near a target.[1]

Non-sorcerers are burned to ashes. The flames are immensely powerful, capable of instantly killing non-sorcerers and critically injuring sorcerers.[1][2] These flames are also visible to non-sorcerers and possess properties similar to real flames.[3] A person with superhuman physical toughness is able to survive these attacks entirely thanks to their body, while a sorcerer's curse tolerance might not be enough to save their life.[4]

The technique also grants the ability to telepathically create volcanoes on surfaces. These volcanoes are capable of firing powerful lava towards the user's target.[5]

Usage

Game using the different temperatures of his flames. Jogo's innate technique is his primary form of combat and he is exceptionally proficient with it. Jogo is the most powerful of the unregistered special grade curses led by Mahito, in large part thanks to Disaster Flames.[8]

The temperature of this technique's flames can be controlled by Jogo. Normally, they are already powerful enough to greatly injure or even kill most opponents, but Jogo is capable of making the blasts of fire even stronger, to the point where they can change colors from red to purple.[9]

Game's telepathic volcano. Game is also capable of instantly forming and immediately firing telepathic volcanoes. This can easily catch his opponents off-guard, and thus making this attack nearly impossible to dodge. The lava fired from these volcanoes is also incredibly powerful, capable of killing even a special grade 1 sorcerer.[10]

Jogo is capable of morphing his body to direct attacks in a sudden manner, for example, the volcano on his head can be transformed to direct attacks towards an opponent attacking from above.[11]

Game's Meteor remains in Shibuya. Thanks to Jogo's immense levels of cursed energy, he can create an immeasurable amount of flames. The quantity can be large enough to the point of filling up an entire building in an instant.[12]

The amount of energy Jogo possessions is so vast that his creations can turn into physical manifestations. This is shown when non-sorcerers can see his flames.[3] The most extreme example of this is with Jogo's Maximum Technique: Meteor, as the technique creates a physical meteor that remained lodged in the streets of Shibuya even after the cursed spirit's death.[13]

extension Techniques 1:

Ember Insects (火か礫れき蟲ちゅう, Karekichū?) is an extension technique of Jogo's innate technique.

Description From the "volcanic" vent atop his head, Jogo summons forth several large, cicada-like insects whose faces bear deadly stingers and humanlike mouths. These insects fly toward a given target at extreme speed (such that, in the anime, when flying into Satoru Gojo's "shield" of infinity, the ground behind him caved in from the shock). Once near the target, the insects emit an extremely high-pitched scream and further, on command, can be made to violently explode into flames, for a two-stage attack of sound and explosion.

Usage Game used this technique against Gojo, however the attack was completely ineffective against the sorcerer due to his Infinity.[1]

Game also used them in his fight against Sukuna. Several Ember Insects were used to carry Jogo as he was coughed through the air, helping him keep stable. However, the King of Curses easily used his technique to slice them apart, causing them to explode away from Sukuna.[2]

extension Techniques:

Maximum: Meteor (極ごくノの番ばん「隕いん」, Gokunoban・In?) is the Maximum Technique of Jogo's pyrokinetic innate technique.

Description As the name implies, Maximum: Meteor is a maximum technique that conjures a flaming meteor that's launched by the user as a projectile. It's relatively small compared to real meteors but massive enough to cause widespread devastation on a city-wide level.[1][2]

Usage

Maximum throwing game: Meteor. Jogo was forced to use his maximum technique in his battle with Sukuna during the Shibuya Incident. With a swing of his arm, Jogo tossed the massive smoldering rock at his opponent and the impact instantly annihilated a large portion of Shibuya.

Having failed to land any hits on Sukuna at that point, Jogo was confident that his most supreme art must've dealt some damage at last. Unfortunately for Jogo, the attack was too slow to hit Sukuna, but the King of Curses with sixteen fingers even admitted that he would've been hurt if the technique had landed.[3] The meteorite without the flames remained long after its creation even after Jogo's defeat.[2]

Anti-Domain Techniques Domain Amplification (領りょう域いき展てん延えん, Ryōiki Ten'en?): Amplifies Jogo's cursed energy into an aura capable of including a can't-miss attack. Game refrained from doing so to free up the capacity to pour in Satoru Gojo's Limitless technique and neutralize it.[31][32]

Domain Expansion:

Coffin of the Iron Mountain (蓋がい棺かん鉄てっ囲ち山せん, Gaikan Tecchisen?) is Jogo's domain expansion using its innate technique.

Description

Coffin of the Iron Mountain's sure-hit effect. The environment constructed by this domain resembles the inside of an active volcano. It is a sealed-off stone chamber with large fissures across the walls and the ground that spout large portions of magma.[1] This produces an ambient heat so great that the average jujutsu sorcerer would combust upon entering the domain.[2]

Coffin of the Iron Mountain is a lethal domain that includes a guaranteed hit. The user can command molten rock that extends from the environment to hit their opponent with a can't-miss attack.[2]

Usage Game first displayed his Domain Expansion when he was desperate to kill Satoru Gojo in their fight. In order to bypass Satoru's Infinity, Jogo needed to employ his can't-miss attacks. While a normal sorcerer would burn up inside Coffin of the Iron Mountain, Satoru was unharmed and was able to protect his student, Yuji Itadori from the heat as well. Satoru countered Jogo's first attack by blasting the guaranteed hit with his own jujutsu.[3]

Determined to leave Satoru burned beyond a pile of ash, Jogo attempted to ramp up the cursed techniques. However, Satoru expanded his Unlimited Void, which proved to be the more refined of the two domains, and quickly suppressed Coffin of the Iron Mountain.[4] Due to this defeat, Jogo didn't even attempt to use his Coffin of the Iron Mountain in his battle with Sukuna, afraid that his opponent's domain would overtake his own.[5]
