Kurt Wagner, better known as Nightcrawler, is a Marvel comics character and member of the X-Men. He was born in Germany and raised in a circus, where his demonic appearance made him an attraction. However, his kind nature was at odds with his appearance, leading him to be persecuted for superstitions and prejudices.

Kurt possesses the ability to teleport, leaving behind a distinctive sulfurous odor and a burst of black smoke. His superhuman agility and ability to move in the shadows make him a formidable combatant.
