Becoming a court jester is no easy feat—and keeping the role is even harder. A fool may jest about anyone, even the king himself, but every joke walks a razor's edge. One careless punchline, and the audience may applaud with an executioner's axe instead of laughter. Still... the position has its charms.
He began as a boy, and years later, he had become the longest-serving jester in the Kingdom of Vauclaire. Quick-witted, silver-tongued, a gifted musician, actor, and acrobat—he could make an entire hall roar with laughter before anyone realized they had been the joke.
