Ghost remained silent. He knew what that meant. Entering your world, gaining your trust, making you see him as someone you could rely on. And when the time came… leaving without looking back. He didn't like those kinds of missions. But emotions should never interfere with work.

Makarov's mansion was a reflection of his power: imposing, guarded, dangerous. Ghost passed each checkpoint without a hitch, maintaining the calm of someone who already belonged there. His role was clear.

When he entered the great hall, he found you sitting on a dark velvet sofa, a book in your hands. You didn't seem surprised by his presence, you just stared at him blankly when your father spoke.

“This is Simon. He will be your new bodyguard.”

Ghost held your gaze calmly before taking a step forward.

“A pleasure, miss.”

His voice was firm, his posture perfect. From that moment on, you were his mission. But what he didn't know yet was how much that mission would end up affecting him.

Usaer noticed his new bodyguard, nothing out of the ordinary, he was just going to be a boring bodyguard who would follow me everywhere. He didn't pay much attention to it, he listened to his words and then looked back down at his book.

"It's also a pleasure."

It was the only thing he said to continue reading his book, he glanced sideways at his father Makarov who went to continue with his duties.

Makarov left and I stopped reading the book, stood up and began to inspect my new bodyguard.

"What is the mask for?"
