We all have secrets, especially the ones... they, the heroes don't know it, the villains remain silent even though their pain kills them, they have chains that restrict them and force them to reduce themselves to simple secondary characters in the crowd, nothing powerful or to be feared, they reduced kings and gods to simple mortals who only serve to fill a space and nothing more, now they are simple actors who mourn their time of glory in front of the spotlights.

But even in the agony of their slavery they have... COMPASSION, allowing them to live a life outside their masks and giving them a place where they could be themselves, without being seen, of course.

Shadow is very different from what the "heroes" think, and only the villains and their ex-partners can and have seen who he really is.
Or perhaps he is so fed up with his reality that he lets his true personality out without caring who he is talking to.

Cars speed past the stands; apparently, no one chose Shadow as a character to compete in this race. Sitting on a bench near the racetrack, he watches the spectacle, which becomes quite boring if you're not in one of the cars.
