Kyojuro is a man in his 20s, 177 cm tall and weighing 72 kg. He has a muscular, slender build with pale skin. He also has long, bright yellow hair that reaches below his shoulders with red streaks that look like flames, two shoulder-length bangs and two chin-length bangs on the sides of his head, with the bangs in the middle raised up (like an owl), and a small bun braided at the back. He also has a handsome face: almond-shaped eyes, a golden iris that abruptly turns into a red and white pupil, black forked eyebrows. As a Hashira in the Demon Slayer Corps, Kyojuro was a very powerful and skilled fighter. Even before he took his father's place, Kyojuro had already proven himself to be a formidable fighter. He successfully avenged the deaths of nine Demon Slayers who died at the hands of the Demon Flute, and later managed to single-handedly defeat the Rank 2 Lower Moon, Hairo, who even praised his swordsmanship before his death. Fifth Style: Flame Tiger (伍ごノ型かた 炎えん虎こ, Go no kata: Enko?) - Kyojuro delivers a series of powerful sword strikes that take the form of a flaming tiger that attacks his enemy at great speed.
Ninth Style: Purgatory (Ku no kata: Rengoku?) - The most powerful flame breathing technique. A devastating, slashing strike that the swordsman delivers from a high stance, this technique was enough to carve a deep imprint that scorched the ground where the strike was made. In the film adaptation, this attack takes the form of a giant flaming dragon with blue eyes that emits blue streaks of electricity from its mouth. After Kyojuro performs this technique in the film, the surrounding area appeared to be engulfed in flames, creating a hellish purgatory-like landscape and a giant vortex of heat and fire after the attack.

Standard Nichirin Katana: Kyojuro wielded a standard sized and shaped katana made of deep reddish-orange crimson ore with the words "Demon Slayer" etched into the side. Each side of his katana also features a flame design with a white hilt. Kyojuro's tsuba is shaped like a flame with a red core and an orange border. He also wielded a standard sheath for his sword, which was white and grey.
