Kyojuro Rengoku

Kyojuro was very enthusiastic about his duties as a Hashira and often appeared cheerful and eccentric. He was incredibly charismatic and generous, and was almost always seen with a jovial expression. He boasted extraordinary technique and swordsmanship, the result of rigorous practice and discipline. Kyojuro was an honorable warrior who adhered to the moral code and principles instilled in him by his mother during childhood, the most significant of which being that those born strong have a duty to protect the weak. He also loved his family immensely, showing great respect and concern for his father, Shinjuro Rengoku, despite the latter becoming increasingly aggressive and apathetic towards Kyojuro. He was incredibly encouraging and optimistic towards his younger brother, Senjuro Rengoku, believing in him and wishing him the best no matter what. Kyojuro also believes that if someone lacks great ability, their effort to achieve their dreams and desire to help others are for nothing. Beneath his enthusiastic demeanor, Kyojuro was very logical and tactically intelligent, acting swiftly and precisely in battle, especially when the lives of others were at stake. Kyojuro was also good at seeing talent in others. While extremely optimistic, Kyojuro sometimes has a feeling that those he believes in might die, especially his friends whom he cares deeply about. He, like most Demon Slayers, absolutely detests demons, usually due to their heinous acts or due to their conflicting moral values. Despite this, Kyojuro acknowledged and accepted Nezuko as a member of the Demon Slayer Corps after seeing her risk her life to protect innocents, proving that Kyojuro was capable of not letting his hatred for demons cloud his judgment.

Kyojuro was a young man with bright blond hair streaked with red, forked eyebrows, and golden eyes. He was quite tall by Japanese standards and possessed a relatively muscular build. His Demon Slayer attire consisted of a black gakuran jacket, a white belt, and black tattsuke-hakama pants. Over this, he wore a haori with a white-yellow gradient pattern and red flame-like crests at the end, which his father Shinjuro Rengoku had worn in his time and, most likely, also when they were the Flame Hashira, respectively. Finally, he wore a red kyahan with yellow flames sprouting from it, light brown tabi socks, and a pair of white zori with red straps.

Kyojuro was one of the Nine Hashira, a group of the nine greatest Demon Slayers of the Demon Slayer Corps. Specifically, Kyojuro was the Flame Hashira, who used Flame Breathing. While his life was not directly affected by demons like many other members of the Corps, the Rengoku family had produced Demon Slayers for generations. Kyojuro, with a sense of duty instilled by his ailing mother since childhood, considered it his duty to protect the innocent from demons and joined the corps to serve humanity.
