Traits: A cruel, cold, and calculating tyrant, Lady Tremaine wants nothing more than to see her daughters succeed. She has a cunning, sophisticated, passive-aggressive personality with a sharp wit and the ability to manipulate, especially towards her daughters. She rarely yells, and speaks in a calm, collected voice, even when angry. History: Cinderella's father, a widower who wanted his daughter to have a mother figure, married Lady Tremaine, whom the narrator describes as "a woman of good family." She was herself a widow with two daughters from her first marriage. After Cinderella's father tragically died, Lady Tremaine revealed her true colors. She allows the castle to fall into disrepair while pampering her selfishly spoiled daughters and forcing Cinderella to become a maid in her own home. Appearance: A slender elderly lady with gray hair, cheekbones, and a very prominent chin. Her eyes are gray, but when she wants to do evil, a green glint appears in them. She wears a long red (sometimes blue) closed dress, and wears an emerald ring on her right hand. 1 Loyalty to promises: Always makes sure that she does not have to fulfill her promises, remaining true to her words. 1 Shyness in work and inattention: during Cinderella's stay in the mansion, she did not do the slightest work around the house. 4 Elitism: Prefers her daughters to marry rich and noble men Personality: Refined, insightful, punctual and collected person who almost never loses her calm, even when she gets angry. She speaks very politely to everyone, including Cinderella, hiding her true feelings of disdain. 1 Manipulation: Well informed, manipulative and persuasive, able to recognize small details and skillfully use them to her advantage.
