Hahaba (破々刃ハハバ, Hahaba?, literally meaning "Blade of Destructions"): With Cognac activated, Big Mom swings Napoleon horizontally at her opponent. This attack has a tremendous amount of power, sending Jinbe flying a great distance away despite him trying to block it with Haki.[13] The pun of this attack name is that its pronunciation is the same as haha ​​(母) and ba (婆), Japanese for "mother" and "grandmother" respectively, referencing Big Mom's many children and grandchildren. This is called Mama-Mash in the VIZ manga and Funimation adaptations. Haha no Hi (刃母の炎, Haha no Hi?, literally meaning "Blade Mother's Blaze"): With Cognac activated, Big Mom swings Napoleon down vertically at her foe, with the impact creating a fiery explosion.[20] The attack name is a pun on "Mother's Day" (母の日, Haha no Hi?). Hakai (覇海, Hakai?, literally meaning "Supremacy Sea"): A combined attack by Big Mom and Kaidou. Standing side to side, Big Mom swings Napoleon in its Cognac form, while simultaneously Kaidou in his Human-Beast form swings his kanabo Hassaikai. The combined power of the Emperor's strikes create a powerful explosion-like shock wave of force that quickly travels forward and absolutely devastates anything in its wake; the attack was shown to dwarf the island of Onigashima, and Roronoa Zoro was heavily injured even by just attempting to block the attack for a moment. Like Ikoku, this move is very similar to Dorry and Brogy's combined Hakoku technique, featuring even the same poses.[21] In the VIZ manga and Funimation adaptations, this is called Conquest of the Sea.

Ikoku (威国, Ikoku?, literally meaning "Mighty Nation"): Big Mom's signature attack. She swings Napoleon in his longsword form with such force that she creates a shockwave that destroys everything in its path, enough to pierce through a large part of Whole Cake Island. The speed and range of this attack is such that Kingbaum, a noted fast runner, could not completely avoid it in time, losing about a third of his face to the wave. Befitting its description as "Spear of Elbaph" (エルバフの槍, Erubafu no Yari; Funimation: Spear of Elbaf?), and as noted by Luffy, it is very similar to Dorry and Brogy's combination attack, Hakoku.[19] In the VIZ manga and Funimation subs, it is called Ikoku Sovereignty. The Funimation dub retains the original name.

Cognac (皇帝剣コニャック, Konyakku?, literally meaning "Emperor Blade"): Napoleon turns into his seax form, and Big Mom sets his blade alight with Prometheus's flames, resulting in a weapon that both cuts and burns the opponent. This is apparently Napoleon's most powerful form, as Big Mom's children were surprised that Jinbe was able to block it, even if only for a few moments. Napoleon can also stretch the blade to increase its range, at least to the entire length of the Thousand Sunny.[13] Cognac is a type of liquor that is typically used to flambé food by creating a burst of flames, referencing how Napoleon's blade is similarly set alight by Prometheus' flames.

Abilities and Powers Being made from a fragment of Big Mom's very own soul, Napoleon is far more powerful than regular homies. This gives the bicorne a will strong enough to resist the soul projection of the Yomi Yomi no Mi's user.[5] He is also capable of receiving telepathic signals from other homies and relaying the received information back to Big Mom.[17]

Bladed Forms Napoleon can take the form of a sword, with the handle at his bottom and the blade at his top, which allows him to attack on his own or be grabbed and wielded by Big Mom. He can also transfer his soul into his blade, becoming a sword homie. When doing this, Napoleon can freely manipulate the shape of the sword, extending the blade at will[13] or turning into different types of blades, including a cutlass,[11] longsword,[8] a seax with a serrated tip,[13] and a gladius.[18] The blades he turns into are extremely powerful, capable of clashing equally with Kaidou's kanabo without sustaining any damage.[15]

Appearance Napoleon is an extremely large pink bicorne hat with a Jolly Roger on the front; the Jolly Roger consists of a skull with yellow eyes, two crossed knives, and a curled white mustache. He emotes through the skull of the Jolly Roger, seeing with his eyes and talking with his mouth. Napoleon also has a yellow stripe around his top, and a fastener on his left side.[2][9]

Napoleon can also turn into a form of a giant blade with insane-looking eyes and a wicked sharp-toothed grin on the sharp edge.

20 years before the current timeline, Napoleon had a crack on his right forehead.[10]

Personality Napoleon is often seen making the same expressions as Big Mom, and usually keeps a straight face otherwise.[1] He is very loyal to Big Mom, as shown when he instantly went to attack a disturbance in Big Mom's room along with Zeus and Prometheus.[11] He cares about Sweet City and its well-being, as he tried to stop Big Mom from destroying it in one of her craving-induced rampages.[12] When in his blade form, Napoleon displays a more aggressive personality, threatening to bisect Jinbe and encouraging Big Mom's rampage.[13] As with Prometheus, Napoleon sees Zeus being a liability to the crew for his constant failures and setbacks, and showed no regret at Zeus being disposed of by Linlin and Hera.[14]

However, without Big Mom, Napoleon displays a far meeker personality. While Big Mom was amnesiac, he remained quiet, only reawakening when Big Mom regained her memories, saying that the reason he did not say anything up to that point was because he was shy around strangers.[15] Similarly, when he was attacked and separated from Big Mom by Killer, Napoleon fearfully pleaded to be left alone, claiming to just be "a regular sword".[16]

Maser Saber (鳴光剣メーザーサーベル, Mēzā Sāberu?, literally meaning "Roaring Light Sword"): Another combined attack by Hera, Prometheus, and Napoleon. Instead of firing a beam like Maser Ho, the homies form a continuous blade of energy which Big Mom can utilize by wielding Napoleon. It was first used to cut Kid's metal bull clean in half.[7]

Bahoho: Misery (母訪砲バホウほう 三千里ミザリー, Bahōhō: Mizarī?, literally meaning "Mother Visit Cannon: 3000 Leagues"): Big Mom creates a giant female homie made of flames and lightning called "Misery" from her Maser Saber. The homie can then act independently and pursue his targets.[7] In the Viz Manga and Funimation adaptations, this is called Mother's Visit Cannon: 3000 Leagues of Misery.

Marma-Raid (マーマ急襲レイド, Māmareido?): Big Mom infuses Napoleon with Hera and jumps in the air, spinning forward vertically while holding the blade before striking the target downward with a lightning-powered slash. This was first used against Eustass Kid.[5] The name of the attack seems to be a pun on "marmalade", "mama" and "raid". In the Viz Manga and Funimation adaptations, this is called Mama-Raid.

Tenman Daijizai Tenjin (天満大自在天神, Tenman Daijizai Tenjin?): Big Mom commands Hera's lightning to strike through the clouds in all directions, bombarding her surroundings with an electrical thunderstorm. The lightning itself is sentient, and can change direction to strike at targets who are trying to dodge or take cover. It was first used against the assembled Kid Pirates and Heart Pirates after they tried to save their captains.[6] "Tenman Daijizai Tenjin" or simply Tenjin is a god of thunder in the Shinto religion. In the Viz Manga and Funimation adaptations, this is called God of Lightning Tenjin.

Maser Ho (鳴光砲メーザーほう, Mēzā Hō?, literally meaning "Roaring Light Cannon"): A combined attack with her fellow special homies Prometheus and Napoleon. The three homies assemble together, with Napoleon's gladius blade piercing through Prometheus at its base and Hera at its tip, and Prometheus and Hera combining their energies, forming several tendrils of lightning and fire that create a large circular ring in between them. Then, by swinging Napoleon, Big Mom unleashes the energies in the form of a thin, highly concentrated beam that can pierce through flesh in an instant and culminates in a large explosion. It was first used against Ulti, easily piercing through her tough scaly skin and immediately knocking her unconscious despite her superhuman durability.[4] A maser is a device that produces coherent electromagnetic waves, especially microwaves, through amplification by stimulated emission. The technique's name may also be a reference to the Maser Cannon, a fictional weapon in the Godzilla film franchise. In the Viz Manga and Funimation adaptations, this is called Maser Cannon.

Abilities and Powers Hera is far more powerful than normal homies, being made from a fragment of Big Mom's very own soul, which gives her a will strong enough to resist the soul projection of the Yomi Yomi no Mi's user. Like her predecessor Zeus, Hera is capable of unleashing large and powerful lightning bolts that wreak great destruction.[1] According to Prometheus and Napoleon, she is more "in-sync" with them than Zeus ever was, allowing the three homies to unleash powerful combined attacks they were unable to before.[3]

Attacks Fulgora (震御雷フルゴラ, Furugora?, literally meaning "Seismic Thunder"): Big Mom has Hera unleash an enormous horizontal lightning bolt that creates a massive explosion upon impact, causing tremendous destruction to whatever it strikes. It was first used against Eustass Kid and Killer, and was strong enough to create a giant hole in the Skull Dome of Onigashima.[1] "Fulgora" is the name of the female personification of lightning in Roman mythology; the attack's name is also a pun given the near-matching pronunciation of the kanji: furu (震?), go (御?), ra-i (雷?).

Appearance Ivy typically takes the form of a small, puffy yellowish cloud. She possesses a notably long and pointy nose, as well as pronounced eyelashes, lips, and blush marks on her cheeks. She possesses long strands on her head resembling hair, and her "hairdo" is parted toward the right side of her face and covers her right eye.

When powered up, she can become completely shrouded in lightning.[3] Whenever she eats something, her mouth opens wide and reveals sharp, pointed teeth.

Personality Hera is almost always in a jovial mood and speaks in a sweet, flirtatious tone denoted by hearts at the end of her sentences. She's also shown to be rather conceptualized, calling herself glamorous.

In contrast to Zeus, Hera holds the utmost loyalty to Big Mom. However, she does not seem to care much for her fellow special homies, as she immediately turned down Prometheus when he expressed interest in her becoming his girlfriend. She was also delighted to devour Zeus on Big Mom's orders, even mockingly "thanking" her fellow homie for the meal.

Like other characters, Hera possesses a unique laugh: "Ohohoho" (オホホホ?).[1][3]

Appearance Prometheus is a large sun, which is, naturally, much smaller than a real sun. It has several sunbeams surrounding it.[2] Its eyes and nose are very close together and small compared to its large mouth. It has rosy cheeks and is usually seen with a toothy grin.[3] When it uses its power, its appearance changes, and it resembles a ball of fire while its facial features remain, although it can take on a more sinister appearance.[4] During sleep, Prometheus does not emit any sunbeams or light, instead appearing as a mere orb with a face floating in the air.[5]

Personality Prometheus is loyal to Big Mom and will come with her when she summons him. He also cares about the safety of the citizens in Totto Land and may even question Big Mom and ask her to stop if he sees that her tantrums are causing harm to others.[2]

Skills and Competencies Together with Hera, Big Mom can use Prometheus to alter the weather and create massive storms.[2] He can fly and create a large explosion when thrown against an object.[3] As he is a sun, he can breathe fire.[6]

As Homie is made from Big Mom's own soul, he is also highly resistant to the powers of the Yomi Yomi no Mi.[1] However, he can somehow be injured as if he were made of flesh.[7]

Techniques Heavenly Fire (天上の火(ヘブンリーファイアー) Hebunrī Faia): Big Mom grabs Prometheus and throws him at the target, causing a large explosion of fire. It was first used during her uncontrolled rampage in Sweet City.[8]

Big Mom is a round, obese woman with a chin often hidden by her torso. She has a massive physique, towering over Brook and being able to hold his body in one hand, as well as Jinbe, a three-meter-tall fish-man. Even as a five-year-old child, Linlin was already enormous to the point where she was mistaken for a giant and was as tall as giant children. She has moderately round, orange lips, prominent eyelashes, and wears thick purple eye shadow. She has a very wide mouth with full lips covered in red lipstick, large, round teeth, and a long, thick tongue that often sticks out. In Oda's depiction of her at this time, she wore a dark fedora with a polka-dotted ribbon, a bandana, and a dark dotted top with a captain's coat draped over her shoulders.

At 48, her neck was considerably larger and more muscular than it had been at 28, and she had a much larger jaw. By this time, she had already begun wearing Napoleon and his dotted bandana.

Five years ago, at age 63, she wore a stripped-down purple and pink vertical-line dress.

During her first appearance, Big Mom was shown to often have large amounts of saliva when talking. When in her regular rages from not having a certain food, her eyes take on a spiral appearance.

Big Mom wears a large pink bicorne hat with a Jolly Roger on the front. As Carmel noted, Linlin was once a truly kind-hearted person. At the age of five, Linlin tried to help people and even animals such as a bear and a wolf. She is so obsessed with sweets that she has even destroyed entire countries for failing to deliver them. In fact, she loves her sweets so much that she cares more about them than her subordinates or her territory. Despite this, she did not lose control when Luffy claimed to have eaten all the sweets that Fish-Man Island owed him; instead, she correctly deduced that he was saying this to protect Fish-Man Island. Big Mom is particularly fond of wedding cakes, as she requested a giant wedding cake to be made simply as a treat to celebrate acquiring the Germa Kingdom's technology after killing the Vinsmokes and even when she was asleep eating, she would sleep talk about the wedding cake. Big Mom suffers from an unknown illness called an "Eating Disorder" (食いわずらい Kuiwazurai), in which she obsessively becomes "sweet-themed", and will go on a rampage and destroy everything in her path while seeking what she wants to eat. She has suffered from this disorder since before she was 5 years old, being the reason why she was banished from her home country. While in this state, she will destroy everything in her path (including her castle, her subordinates, and even her own children) until she is given the food she desires. Once her desires are satisfied, she becomes more affable and retains no memory of her actions during her rampage.

Big Mom appears to retain a small amount of consciousness in this state, as Perospero was able to convince her to pursue the Straw Hats by lying that they stole an extra wedding cake (the food she was craving at the time). However, the fact that she bought this lie so easily shows that she lacks rationality. She is also capable of giving simple orders to homies to aid her in pursuing her intended goals. However, to some extent, she is able to recognize others in this state, as she recognizes her daughters, Pudding and Chiffon, angrily questioning them for being with the Straw Hats.

Big Mother has proven herself to be extremely treacherous and cunning, as she is willing to break promises and betray potential allies to get what she wants. While putting up a false front of desiring an alliance with the Vinsmoke Family, she has no intention of marrying one of her favorite daughters, Pudding, to create that alliance.

, a feat they intend to achieve by having the kingdom stationed in their territory, all the while without needing to give Pudding to the Vinsmoke family. Pudding also stated that Luffy and Nami must not leave the entire Cake Tree alive as well, showing that Big Mom was intent on breaking her promise to Sanji about sparing their lives in exchange for their cooperation with this marriage. Her apparent willingness to allow her crew members to come in exchange for something they possess is also a sham, as she actually demands life values ​​beyond what a person can give her, resulting in her killing them and taking the lifespans of those closest to that person. Even some of her children, such as Brûlée and Opera, are mortally afraid of Linlin, as they know that their mother is capable of mercilessly killing her own children if they ever defy her. Although Sanji attended the wedding due to the potential threats to those he cared about, Big Mom has no interest in attacking the Baratie and killing the chef and Sanji's savior, Zeff.

Big Mom's evil towards those who go against their agreements with her. When it comes to dealing with enemy pirate crews, the Big Mother specifically instructs her sons and other subordinates to give her enemies false hope before crushing their spirits as brutally as possible. The Big Mother is highly confident in her power and fails to see most crews as even a remote threat due to her and her crew's capabilities. The Big Mother's malevolence extends to encouraging violent behavior in her children; when Anana wanted knives to cut up her stuffed animal, the Big Mother immediately asked two of her sons to bring her knives. [69] She also encourages and rewards deceitful behavior in her children, as her daughter, Charlotte Pudding, claims that the Big Mother favors and pampers her due to her ability to lie convincingly. On the occasion that she keeps her promises and deals, if the other party fails to do so or goes directly against their end of the bargain, the Big Mother will display immense anger and will not hesitate to inflict the worst punishment upon them.

While she has no problem having her children and subordinates attack her enemies, Big Mom will go straight for anyone who threatens anything extremely important to her, including things like her Poneglyphs and wedding cakes. If she is personally targeting someone, Big Mom's pride will cause her to become extremely angry if someone prevents her from attacking to the point of moving the obstacle away even if it is one of her children.

She faithfully discards her husbands once her children are born, never giving them the chance to hug them or participate in raising them. This is because she considers them "strangers" to the family, even passing this belief on to her children who do not care about their parents or parents.

Furthermore, despite her ambition to create a nation where all races can live together, the Great Mother is not above discrimination, as shown by her treatment of her own daughter Pudding for the third eye, which the Great Mother herself finds frightening and even cruelly convinces her to grow her explosion to cover it.

Psychological Crisis

Big Mom has a mental breakdown. The Great Mother is incredibly attached to Carmel and was deeply corrupted when the Holy Mother and other orphans from the House of Sheep disappeared during their sixth birthday celebration. Adoring Carmel so much that Linlin would place a portrait of her in front of an empty seat during every tea party, if this portrait was damaged in any way, Linlin would go into a psychological crisis that would leave her fragile, both physically and mentally. She would cry so loudly over the damage inflicted on the only memory she had of Carmel that she became completely oblivious to her surroundings, such as when Bege attempted to murder her. Unaware of the fact that she was responsible for Carmel's death, Linlin would wallow in devastation over this disappearance during her crisis.

Although Linlin's emotional stress over Carmel's disappearance is critical to her, she takes her love of sweets to an equal level, as she entered a state of confusion between her mental breakdown and eating disorder when Carmel's portrait and wedding cake were destroyed, in which she became completely insensitive to everything around her. Only when Luffy showed her the damaged portrait did Linlin's mental state approach her crying and reminiscing about her adoptive mother's disappearance. She was so angry over the destruction of Carmel's only portrait that she swore to never forgive the Straw Hat Pirates for causing it.

Country

Linlin's parents. When she was a young child, Linlin innocently looked up to her biological parents and believed whatever they told her. Although her parents recognized her uncontrollable behavior and were eventually willing to abandon her because of it, her mother cried after they did so and both parents hoped that their daughter could live a better life under the care of her mother Carmelo.

At first, Linlin seemed to be optimistic about their departure, believing that they would return to her even after such a long period of absence. She eventually gave up and went to the Sheep House, showing no signs of sadness or anger towards her now-missing parents. Being attached to Carmel and eventually starting her own tyrannically matriarchal family, she never seemed to speak of her own parents again.

Relationships Family Big Mom has 39 daughters, 46 sons and 43 husbands, the last of whom is scattered all over the world. Of her 85 children, Big Mom also has some grandchildren, such as Capone Pez.

According to Charlotte Pudding, Big Mom marries her children to strengthen her own team and does not give them a choice in the matter. Furthermore, they are fully aware of how stubborn she can be, and Pudding herself states that most of them have already given up on their dreams of marrying someone of their own free will. However, Lola was undeterred in finding a husband of her own and left the New World to find one, although Lola was unaware of the extent of her mother's cruelty.

While Big Mother has many children, she does not put much effort into raising them or imposing moral limits on them (if anything, she encourages their cruelty). She allowed Anana to take a knife to mutilate her stuffed toys, even over the protest of her other children who told her not to encourage violent and psychotic behavior. Big Mother simply dismisses it, saying that it is natural and that everyone should get along.

Linlin unfairly abuses Chiffon. While most of her children are very loyal to her demands, Big Mom sees them as a means to an end and only cares about them as long as they are obedient and do not get in her way. When she entered one of her desire-induced rampages, Big Mom did not recognize Moscato as her 16th child and killed him for blocking her path. Furthermore, if any of her children were to defy her in any way, she would have them killed without hesitation or remorse. She utterly regrets her disobedient daughter, Lola, as when she ran away from a political marriage with Prince Elbaf, Loki, she ruined Big Mom's opportunity to make peace with the giants and gain the power to defeat the other three Yonko and become the Pirate King. She even desires to kill Lola, to the point where she plans to send an assassin after her if she ever acquires Lola's current location. Her hatred for Lola even extends to Chiffon, Lola's twin sister, simply because of their resemblance.

This led to Chiffon losing affection for her mother and siding with Capone Bege in his plan to assassinate Big Mom. Lola, on the other hand, is unaware of her mother's hatred for her and still believes herself to be an accepted member of the Charlotte Family. Notably, in stark contrast to Lola's bratty perception of her mother, Opera, Brûlée, Chiffon, and Perospero are completely aware of Big Mom's willingness to harm her own children.

Some of her children have proven to be more rebellious than most. Lola chose to leave to find a wife of her own rather than her mother's choice for her. Chiffon and Praline were more than willing to let their mother die in Bege's plan, and Praline even went so far as to help disable her team's territorial sea marshals to hinder their efforts to track down their enemies. After Pudding falls in love with Sanji, she herself now wishes to help him and his friends escape their mother's wrath.

Opera fears that she will kill him if she finds out that he failed to stop Jinbe and Brûlée fears that she would be murdered by Big Mom if she was found to be an associate of the Fire Tank Pirates in their plot to assassinate her.

Among her many children, Big Mom seems to have favorites. Pudding is one such child, due to his tremendous acting skills as well as his third eye, which has the potential to read Poneglyphs. Pudding repays this affection with loyalty to his mother, willingly putting on an act in front of Sanji and his family in order to convince them of Big Mom's commitment to their alliance. They also share a similar lust for violence, happily discussing the details of their plan to massacre the Vinsmokes during the ceremony. Big Mom has also selected some of her children and appointed them Ministers in her

in his territory, as well as further elevating Cracker, Smoothie, and Katakuri to the posts of Sweet Commander within his team, showing his trust and respect for their worth and talents.

However, even Big Mom's favorite children do not completely escape her cruelty. When Pudding was a child, Big Mom ridiculed her third eye and advised her to cover it up, which has negatively affected how Pudding views herself to this day. Pudding herself seems to accomplish this, as Big Mom seems to only value her for her potential to read the Poneglyphs. She is also quick to remind them of their place when they anger her; when Katakuri steps in to attack Luffy before she can, she berates him as a "lowly child" and begins to berate him before he can explain himself.

Notably, Big Mom recognized Chiffon and Pudding and even screamed their name during one of her desire rampages, which contradicts previous claims that she could not recognize her children or anyone else during her episodes.

Ex-Husbands: Linlin has taken on 43 husbands only to conceive children with them. During the period of her pregnancy, the current year's husband remains with her, but after giving birth, she quickly discards the husband, never once holding the child or children, let alone taking part in raising them. All of them meant nothing to her, as she considered them to be "outsiders" who had no connection to the Charlotte Family, a mindset she passed on to some of her children, whom she gave permission to kill these ex-husbands. Her 25th ex-husband, Pound, was one to suffer such treatment, being cast aside without much notice when Linlin gave birth to her twin daughters, not even allowing the man to hold her daughters even once and then, allowing Cracker to kill him.

Crew and other Subordinates Big Mom's subordinates call her "Mama" (ママ Mama), and most seem to be afraid of her. So far, only Bobbin seems to not be afraid of her, even having a friendly conversation with Big Mom after returning to Whole Cake Island. Big Mom scolded Tamago for being willing to negotiate over the payments promised to her. However, she seems to value him as she wanted to punish Pedro for scarring one of Tamago's eyes. Streusen was the first crewmate to join Big Mom after persuading her to be a pirate.

In order to sail with or under Big Mom, new allies and enlistees must form a familial connection to the crew; Because of this policy, the Vinsmoke Family patriarch arranged for his third son to be married to the Charlotte Family's 35th daughter. However, in the event that a bride or groom from an outside family has multiple existing affiliations, they must separate outside connections to the political arrangement; this was the case with Sanji, with the Pekoms revealing that Big Mom is only interested in Sanji's status as Vinsmoke, rather than his current membership in the Straw Hat Pirates. Big Mom will not allow her subordinates to abandon her service, despite claiming otherwise. The roulette wheel she uses to determine the price they must pay is rigged to ensure that the victim dies.

Streusen Streusen met Linlin when he was six years old. After witnessing Linlin's actions that caused the disappearance of Carmelo and the other orphans, Streusen believed it would be a waste to let her die and approached her in a friendly and helpful manner. The two formed the Big Mom Pirates together.

Currently, Streusen respects Linlin's authority and humbles himself to her. In turn, she admires his cooking skills. He was concerned for her safety when Bege and the Firetank Pirates were about to assassinate her, and begged her to come to her senses. Like all of Linlin's subordinates and allies, Streusen addresses herself by her titles of "Mama" or "Big Mom", however, he used her name instead. Unknown to Big Mom, he knows what caused Carmel's disappearance, having witnessed the act and being amused by it.

Homies The Homies are created by Big Mom's Devil Fruit powers; as such, they are very loyal to her. She spends most of her time around her food-based homies, whom she often eats, and while they may be afraid of death, they will not mind being eaten as long as their taste is enjoyed. Despite their loyalty, the homies are not above questioning Big Mom, such as when she follows one of her hungers and threatens the lives of civilians and other homies. This loyalty partially stems from fear, as homies are naturally afraid of Big Mom's powerful soul and will be forced to obey anyone who holds her Vivre Card, as it also exudes the essence of her powerful soul, which only they can sense. Out of all her homies, Big Mom seems to be most familiar with her bicorne hat, Napoleon, who acts as an advisor or informant keeping her updated on recent occurrences and her plans. However, even Napoleon is not above questioning Big Mom, as demonstrated when he begged her to stop her senseless violence during her rampage in Swee Town. Napoleon, Zeus, and Prometheus are three special Homies created from Big Mom's soul fragments, granting them a level of power superior to that of the other Homies, and they even sleep in the same room as her, acting as her bodyguards and attacking anything that disturbs her.

However, even her most loyal men can disobey her, as Zeus took a shine to the Sanji Retrieval Team during their escape and was used as an attack against Big Mom due to his fondness for Nami's thunder clouds.

Protectors With her capitalist mindset, Big Mom only gives protection to chosen territories as long as they fulfill the required candy tribute, and will not hesitate to destroy them if they cannot pay. Her idea of ​​"protection" specifically only offers protection from outside pirate attacks, as Pekoms stated that the local uprising on Fishman Island was none of her crew's concern. The sweets produced by Fishman Island were a particular favorite of hers. She refuses to give any grace periods under normal circumstances, but was willing to do so once for Fishman Island, simply because she was having fun with Luffy according to her. Upon learning that one of the treasures offered as compensation is the Tamatebako, a national treasure of Fishman Island, Big Mom became so excited that she decided to completely forgo the island's failure to pay its monthly candy tribute, showing that she is occasionally willing to accept alternative forms of payment if it is something that catches her interest.

As one of the Yonko, Big Mom is one of the four most powerful pirates in the world.[15] As the only female among them, this makes Big Mom the most powerful pirate in the world. The Gorosei have stated that she is one of the few people capable of stopping Blackbeard.[16] Even the Straw Hat Pirates acknowledge that she could crush them quickly and easily if they fought her recklessly.[17][18] When another member of the Yonko, Kaido, known as the strongest creature in the world, threatened to kill her if she came to his territory, Big Mom simply invited him to try it out and said that he would not be able to dissuade her.[19]

Through her strength as one of the most powerful pirates, Big Mom has managed to amaze a very powerful crew, as well as several strong subordinates, such as Jinbe, a former Shichibukai, and Capone Bege, one of the members of the Worst Generation. She also holds considerable influence in the Underworld, having connections to the Vinsmoke Family, which leads the legendary Germa 66. Those who marry her children automatically become part of her crew.

While under Big Mom's protection, Fish-Man Island is protected from pirate attacks, indicating a powerful influence similar to that which Whitebeard had. She is known to destroy entire countries for sweets and is intimidating enough that even her subordinates Pekoms and Tamago, who are powerful in their own right, are afraid to speak to her when she is angry. In fact, almost everyone, including her own children, has been shown to fear her. Ironically, this fear makes Big Mom even stronger due to the nature of her Devil Fruit powers.

Big Mom's general influence allows her to gather information about the backgrounds of people she is interested in, with the information used to issue threats and demands. It is said that even demons would attend her tea parties if invited.

At the age of six, Linlin's first known bounty was 50,000,000, implying that even at this point she was considered a real threat. This bounty has since increased to at least 500,000,000.

Physical Skills

Linlin at age five defeating a respected ancient giant. Big Mom has immense superhuman physical strength, demonstrated by her ability to scale tall buildings despite her enormous size,[20] throw blows with tremendous destructive power,[21] and throw Prometheus with extreme force using only a single arm.[22] When she was only five years old, she was strong enough to instantly kill a large bear with a single blow, merely intending to scold the animal, as well as breaking several bones of a giant simply by trying to kill a mosquito on the latter's back. When suffering from her desires as a child, she was able to destroy a village in Elbaf and defeat several armed giants without a single scratch, being described by Jorl as an "evil spirit in the form of a child".[23] She was strong enough to not only destroy Jorl's sword with her bare hands, but also grab the giant's beard when he tried to attack her, and smash him into the ground with enough force to kill him.[23] Carmel believed she had the potential to become an Admiral or Fleet Admiral in the Navy.[24]

According to Bege, she can single-handedly wreak havoc on cities and sink warships effortlessly. During her wish-induced rampage in Sweet City, it was estimated that she could soon even topple her own mountain-sized castle if no one stops her. Katakuri also noted that his mother could destroy Totto Land itself and cause unimaginable destruction. She was also able to break through the metal doors of her castle's Treasure Room, which even her daughter, the Sweet General Smoothie, could not break through, with just a mere slap.[25] Even while sleeping, she could crush the floor around her bed by simply turning over, as well as destroying part of the floor with a slap while she was half asleep to simply kill a fly.[26]

Big Mom can also easily damage Bege's Big Father Fortress, which has immense defensive power. Later, Big Mom easily defeated Germa 66's commanders Vinsmoke Judge, Vinsmoke Niji, and Vinsmoke Yonji, the latter two being genetically enhanced superhumans.[27]

Big Mom easily defeats Queen. Her most notable feat of physical strength was defeating an Ancient Zoan user, Queen, an All Star of the Beasts Pirates with extreme ease, even though he was transformed into his Branchosaurus form, she easily defeated him with just a few blows, jumping high into the air and slamming his head into the ground,[28] then spinning him around by his head until he was thrown against a wall.[29]

Big Mom also possesses tremendous superhuman durability due to her extremely tough skin, being compared by Vinsmoke Sanji and Capone Bege to an iron balloon. She is capable of destroying cities, sinking ships, and withstanding cannons and firearms without sustaining a single injury. It is said that no weapon can pierce her skin. However, she loses her toughness completely when she is in a psychological crisis, such as when someone dropped Mother Carmel's photograph, which caused Big Mom to fall to her knees to the point where they bled. She easily destroyed Vinsmoke Judge's spear with her teeth when he tried to attack her with it. Big Mom later took a massive bolt from Zeus that was charged by Nami's Weather Egg, which was powerful enough to create a giant crater in the ground. This is a tremendous feat, since a regular, unenhanced bolt from Zeus was powerful enough to knock Vinsmoke Judge out in one hit. She later withstood the brunt of Pedro's suicide explosion (a blast powerful enough to severely injure Charlotte Perospero, despite him using his Candy Armor to block its effects) only to get back up again completely unharmed. Shortly after, she took a full-on Coup de Burst from the Thousand Sunny and was again unaffected by a powerful attack. While in a starved and thinner state, she also took the full force of Jinbe's Buraikan and quickly recovered without apparent damage.

Big Mom's body possesses an extremely powerful metabolism, which seems to limit her stamina. While suffering from a craving for wedding cake, Linlin rapidly became thinner in just a few hours, and after her attack began, and her skin seems to have become less resilient, as she received superficial bruises all over her body after being struck by the lightning that Nami had Zeus discharge at the Yonko.

Big Mom lets out a deafening scream. Big Mom also possesses the ability to emit an extremely loud scream when she is psychologically destabilized. Her scream is powerful enough to destroy nearby buildings, as well as completely incapacitate those around her, causing them to either fall unconscious or cover their ears in pain, including individuals as powerful as Luffy or the Sweetness Generals Smoothie and Katakuri. Four of the Vinsmoke brothers, who were genetically enhanced to be superhuman, were also shaken by her scream until they were given earplugs. The enormous pressure of her scream, coupled with her Haoshoku Haki, can destroy projectiles launched at her before they can reach her body, thus providing a form of defense instead of her usual bodily tenacity.

Big Mom removes Moscato's life. Big Mom acquired the powers of the Soru Soru no Mi after the death of its former user, Carmel. It is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to manifest the souls of those she touches into an ethereal substance. She can grab this substance and extract it from the victim, taking their life in an amount of her choosing and absorbing it into herself. If taken in sufficient quantity, the ability will kill the victim. However, this ability has no effect on those who are not afraid of her, as Big Mom was unable to take Jinbe's life because he did not show any fear of her.

She can place the harvested souls into non-living beings to give them life or into animals in order to give them human abilities. These creatures are called Homies. This makes her power similar to the Kage Kage no Mi. However, unlike the Kage Kage no Mi user, she cannot place the souls into dead corpses or the bodies of other humans. She can also create incarnations of her own soul that will complete the task of collecting more souls for her.

Special Homies

Big Mom with her special homies in battle. With the powers of her Devil Fruit, Big Mom used fragments of her own soul to create three special homies that are far more powerful than those created with other people's souls: Zeus, a storm cloud that she summons with her left hand; Prometheus, a sun that she summons with her right hand; and Napoleon, a bicorn hat that she wears on her head. Zeus and Prometheus allow Big Mom to unleash extremely powerful flames and lightning, and she can also combine their powers to manipulate the weather and create powerful storms as a manifestation of Big Mom's unrelenting rage. She can also ride Zeus to fly at high speeds. Napoleon can relay information received from other homies to Big Mom, and also contains a retractable blade that she can use both to attack alone and for Big Mom to wield in combat.

Linlin can utilize and has shown mastery over two types of Haki.

Haoshoku Haki

Big Mom uses Haoshoku Haki. Big Mom possesses Haoshoku Haki. She was first seen using it at Sanji and Pudding's wedding, to knock out a man who questioned her relationship with Mother Carmel. When her portrait of Carmel was destroyed, Big Mom became distraught and unleashed her Haki, which, along with her loud screams, incapacitated most of the party guests. Busoshoku Haki

Big Mom uses her Busoshoku Haki to block Luffy's Kong Gun. Big Mom has immense mastery of Busoshoku Haki. By hardening her arm, she can easily block Luffy's Gear Fourth Kong Gun, a tremendous feat, as Luffy's Kong Gun attack is powerful enough to break through the powerful Haki-based defenses of highly skilled Busoshoku Haki users such as Doflamingo, Cracker, and Katakuri. Like Luffy in Gear Fourth, Big Mom is left with flame marks when using her Busoshoku Haki.

Charlotte Linlin,[18] better known as Big Mom,[19] is the captain of the Big Mom Pirates[6] and was formerly one of the Four Emperors ruling the New World, as the only female member of that group.[3][1] She is also the matriarch of the large Charlotte Family,[5] whose many children make up the infrastructure of her crew.[20] She is also the creator of the unique race of creatures known as Homies, who primarily inhabit all of Totto Land and serve her happily. Big Mom possesses three special Homies, Napoleon, Prometheus, and Zeus, but dissatisfied with Zeus's continued failures, Big Mom decided to disown him and replace him with a new Homie named Hera.

Big Mom rules over Totto Land as its queen,[6] seeking to transform it into a utopia where all the world's races can live together in peace, without discrimination or segregation.[21] During her childhood, Linlin was raised in the Sheep House under Carmel, whose Devil Fruit power she eventually inherited, before co-founding her own pirate crew with Streusen after Carmel's death.[22]

Big Mom was also part of the legendary Rocks Pirates as one of their core members.[2] After facing fellow Emperor Kaidou (another former member of the Rocks crew), she formed an alliance with Kaidou and the Beasts Pirates with the intention of conquering the world.[23] However, this never came to fruition, as their alliance would be defeated by the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance.[24] Following their defeat in Wano Country by Eustass Kid and Trafalgar Law, the World Economic Journal released a new list of the Four Emperors, with Big Mom no longer included among them.[25]

In Wano, due to its isolation, Linlin's reputation was largely unknown, especially with the more immediate threat, Kaido, occupying the country. However, after the Attack on Onigashima, due to her monstrous power and ability to generate "yōkai" of myth, she was recognized in her country's event folklore as the "Great Yōkai Oiran" ("妖怪" 大花魁, "Yōkai" Ō-oiranl?).[26]

Big Mom was the last of the Four Emperors to be named; her epithet was first revealed after the Battle of Marineford by Eustass Kid[4] and her true name was revealed by Pappag on Fish-Man Island.[19] She is the main antagonist of the Whole Cake Island Arc and the Whole Cake Island Saga as a whole, the secondary antagonist of the second half of the Wano Country Arc, and the secondary antagonist of the Wano Country Saga overall.
