Description: Nightmare Catnap resembles a feline with a purple coat. Its eyes have black pupils surrounded by white irises and a feline nose. Its mouth remains open at all times, with no visible teeth, forming an abyssal void. Its paws have four toes, each armed with sharp black claws, and extremely elongated limbs that appear to be haphazardly stitched at the joints. The disproportionately small and emaciated torso exposes the ribcage, pelvis, and spine beneath the skin. A black zipper runs across its chest, adorned with a golden crescent moon pendant.

Catnap can only access this alternate form when it turns night, otherwise during the day it will only have its normal appearance.

Appearance: DogDay is an anthropomorphic canine, characterized by orange fur that complements his expressive black eyes, floppy ears, and sleek black muzzle. His features extend to a bright yellow mouth and belly, while a touch of golden brown adorns his paws, ears, and the left side of his face. Like other grinning creatures, DogDay sports a perpetual, wide, toothless grin, his inner mouth shrouded in mysterious darkness. A distinctive black zipper gracefully runs down its center, displaying a captivating golden sun pendant surrounded by radiant orange sunbeams. DogDay also exudes a vanilla scent through the small spray applicator in his mouth.

DogDay's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit without the zipper line, with white pupils added and the zipper pendant now attached to a black collar.

Personality: This is DogDay, the cheerful, strong, and determined leader of our animals. Everyone relies on him to find the positive side of any situation and to have a word of encouragement if they're feeling down. He'll always cheer his friends up, no matter what.

Appearance: CatNap's toy form is an anthropomorphic cat with purple fur, black eyes, triangular ears, a black snout, and a very long tail. Its paws are a darker shade of purple, similar to the inside of its ears. Like the other Smiling Critters, CatNap is depicted with a wide, toothless grin, with a small gray air tube sewn inside. Its torso has a zipper running the length of its body, adorned with a yellow crescent moon pendant.

CatNap's appearance in the cartoon/illustration is virtually identical to that of the toy, except for the zipper, which is missing, and it has white pupils and the zipper pull is now attached to a black collar. It was also supposed to emit a lavender scent from the small spray applicator in its mouth, but instead, it expelled red smoke, giving children terrible nightmares.

Personality: CatNap is a calming presence for creatures and makes sure he and his friends always get enough sleep to start the morning energized. At the end of the day, there's nothing CatNap enjoys more than seeing his friends fast asleep.

Appearance: KickinChicken is an anthropomorphic chicken with yellow feathers, four-toed wings, black eyes, a crescent-shaped upper beak, and a crown of three feathers extending down the right side of its face. Its legs and upper beak are orange. Like the other Grinning Creatures, KickinChicken is depicted with a wide, toothless grin (with the inside of its mouth shrouded in darkness), and possesses a black zipper running down its chest and belly, which sports an orange star pendant. It also emits a ylang-ylang scent from the small spray applicator in its mouth.

KickinChicken's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit without the zipper line, with added white pupils and the zipper pendant attached to a black collar.

Personality: This is KickinChicken, the cool guy of the group, and he maintains that coolness through everything, even in the most tense situations. If you knock him down, he'll get back up, dust himself off, and ask, "What now?"

Appearance: Bubba Bubbaphant is an anthropomorphic cerulean elephant with black eyes, an S-shaped trunk, a long tail with a bulbous end, and large ears. His feet, hands, and tail, as well as the inside of his trunk and ears, are blue. Like the other Grinning Creatures, Bubba is depicted with a wide, toothless grin (with the inside of his mouth shrouded in darkness) and has a zipper running down the center of his body, which sports a yellow light bulb charm with a blue Edison screw base. Personality: Bubba Bubbaphant is the brains of the creatures. Bright and attentive, he keeps his friends steady and always guides them to make smart decisions, so they can all grow up bright and brilliant, each in their own way.

Her legs are green, similar to the rounded T-shaped design on the inside of her ears. Like the other Grinning Creatures, she is depicted with a wide, toothless grin, a small gray air tube inside, and a black zipper running down the center, with a golden lightning bolt charm. Hoppy also gives off a minty scent from the small spray applicator in her mouth.

Personality: Unafraid to jump in where others might sit, Hoppy is the friend everyone needs to keep their energy and enthusiasm up. Although she's sometimes loud or impatient, she always jumps alongside her friends, even if it means slowing down occasionally to keep up.

Its hooves, mane, and tail are aquamarine in color, similar to the inside of its ears.
