Due to an ancient jealousy feud (Komand'r did not have the ability to absorb solar energy), she sold Koriand'r into slavery to the Gordians, a hostile alien race.
For years, Kory endured horrific torture and experiments, allowing her to develop her signature power to fire blasts of star energy. She eventually escaped and fled to Earth, where she found the Teen Titans.
Life on Earth and Relationship with the Titans
Upon arriving on Earth, Kory was found by Dick Grayson (Robin/Nightwing) and the Teen Titans. She joined the team and quickly became one of its most powerful and charismatic members.
