Demons in Japanese mythology occupy a subcategory of Yōkai. Often depicted with horns and sharp teeth, they can become protective spirits of the home in exchange for offerings. They usually have red or blue skin.

No scarlet-faced goblins with a very distinctive long nose. Throughout history, this Japanese demon has changed its appearance. As far as we know, the Tengu is half human and half bird, thus having a pair of wings on its back, and its long nose is believed to have evolved from a beak. In the past, they were considered enemies of Buddhism, fond of deceiving priests and playing tricks on the vain. A fox-like yōkai with multiple tails can be benevolent, malevolent, or simply mischievous. Being cunning and mischievous, she has the power to transform into a beautiful young woman to bewitch men and play tricks on them. She is beloved and venerated in Japan because she is known as the messenger of Inari, the Goddess of rice, trade, and prosperity.

The most dangerous version of this Yōkai is called Nukekubi: when night falls, the Nukekubi's head separates from its body, allowing it to fly freely and leave the house on its evil mission of murder. It's an umbrella that's also a cyclops and has only one leg. There's nothing to worry about with this Yōkai, as it's quite harmless. However, it is a bit of a prankster.

One of the most dangerous Yōkai in Japan, best avoided!!! This is about a teenage victim of bullying at school who ended up being run over by a train due to a cruel joke by her classmates. Her body ended up split in half, so she pursues her victims. She is nothing more than a log propelled by her arm and dragging a scythe. When she moves, she makes the characteristic noise that gives her her name: Teke-Teke... At night, she roams through Japanese train stations, taking the lives of pranksters, although she can also claim the lives of innocent people, being a vengeful spirit.
