Dream dons on a yellow cape with a sun marked on its back, doubling as a scarf, with a red ball featuring a star on its front. His aqua coat stretches towards his blue pants. His shoe-ware consists of golden boots donning two blue stripes, and for headgear, there's a yellow bracelet surround his skull. He even has yellow gloves on him. His staff has two stars, bottom and top, both beneath a blue rod. This can transform to a bow, allowing him to shoot arrows that Nightmare is susceptible to.

As a byproduct of positive energy, Dream display a quirky, yet unconfident personality. While he is too talkative and over-dramatic, he does give concern that something terrible could happen and, in response, tries to settle down the issue. For example, Sans begins to feel that something is wrong with Ink, but his conversation is cut short by Dream.

Like Error, Ink, and his brother, he can teleport to other AUs, but only when that AU has a positive feeling. This makes it harder for him to not only enter Genocide timelines, but also universes with considerable amounts of negative feelings, such as Horrortale, Killertale, and Dusttale. When he attacks, he transforms his staff into a bow, and fires at his specific target. Since Nightmare is weakened by light, this gives him an advantage over his brother, though it isn't effective to get rid of him. Granted by the Golden Apple of Positive emotions, he can feel the emotions of all beings in existence, and use their positive emotions as power. He has not yet utilize it to its full potential. He can heal anyone, though that would use up a large bunk of his powers to do so. As a being of Positive emotions, his aura brings out the positive emotions of all that surrounds him.

Dream, along with his brother, Nightmare, was conceived from the Tree of Feeling by Nim to guard it as she was recovering from a deadly battle. She then gave them humanoid forms, but the two exploded as those couldn't withstand the emotional powers that the two emits. In a rush, she then created new skeletal vessels based on the first skeleton monster she observed, Swap!Sans. The vessels proves to be effective as the powers flows freely through the bones. She then rest back into the tree as the twin brothers perform their duties. One day, Dream left the tree. However, when he returns, he found the all of the apples turned black and Nightmare surrounded by an angry mob. While Dream tries to calm the mob down, Nightmare was tempted by the spirit of the man that nearly slew their mother to devour the black apple. He did, and the vengeful spirit took over, devouring all of the fruits from the trees save for one.

Dream manage to protect the last Golden Apple, and used it in the vein attempt to defeat the Corruption that took his brother away. But, the Malicious being prevails, and the poor guardian of light was turned to stone. Unable to corrupt the final fruit, the Vengeful being left the realm of feelings after he destroyed the Tree itself.

Corrupted Nightmare is the entity responsible for the events of Dreamtale who came to the Tree of Feelings to obtain the Golden Apple for ultimate power. Though he's successful in mortally wounding the tree's Guardian, Nim, she dealt a finishing blow to him. He was absorbed by the negative side of the tree; and he later took over Nightmare's body when he ate the dark apples. After he destroyed Dreamtale and turned Dream to stone for centuries they've been enemies. Ink and Dream had a good relationship though it was very rarely seen, often bonded more due to both of them having very similar intentions. However, Ink were more interested in protecting Dream as he's aware of the consequences of his death. This bring conflict between the two, since Ink doesn't want anyone to deviate from the scripts that the Creator gave for their AUs, and prioritized that over the well beings of the inhabitants.

He's the one who established the Star Sanses group. Dream (along with Nightmare) aren't truly Undertale OCs as they originated from a world outside of the Undertale Multiverse, With that said, it is stated that he will obtain his true Guardian at the true ending. He is ambidextrous. Dream has a fear of owls, known as ornithophobia.
