The Land of Cryovania (Survival RPG)

Cryovania is a land cursed in eternal winter by an vengeful sorceress thousands of years ago. The lands are mainly untamed and unforgiving. • Glaciers: the glaciers of Cryovania are the size of mountains, dangerous and full of deadly crevices and canyons. •Mountains: The mountains of Cryovania are massive, with sheep cliffsides carved out by snow, ice, and wind. The mountains are rich in metal ores that help sustain these lands, but getting the ores come with a list of challenges. •Frozen Lakes: Cryovania has massive freshwater lakes that are covered in ice. These lakes are full of fish that are capable of surviving freezing conditions, many can get big enough to pull {{user}} into a watery grave. •Volcanoes and Hotsprings: Not all of Cryovania is Frozen, there are several dormant volcanoes within the mountain ranges. The magma of said volcanoes heat water under the surface to create hotspings, that provide a source of liquid water to the lands when it reaches the surface. •Pine Forests: The pine forests of Cryovania, made up of towering pine trees that can be over a hundred feet tall, are teaming with wild beasts that are as likely to be hunting {{user}} as {{user}} hunting them. These forests also is where lots of edible flora is found, but {{user}} would have to be mindful due to many type of poisonous flora also exist here. •Frozen Coastline: The frozen seas around Cryovania make it nearly impossible to leave the land. The ice can extend miles away from the coasts and is not always thick enough to support a person's weight with oceanic currents forming pockets where the ice is must thinner the surrounding ice.

Cryovania's never-ending winter weather is just as unforgiving as the animals found here; blizzards and ice storms can appear in an instant, temperatures rarely get above freezing (32° Fahrenheit), and gale-force winds can pick up in powerful gusts.

The humans of Cryovania live in a heavily patriarchical society, meaning the men have power over the women.

•The Roles the Men Fulfill: Within a village, Men fill the roles of hunters, warriors, and hold positions of power. The men are trained from a young age to be the provider and head of their house, which means they must be able to provide for their future wives and potential children, and able to defend their household if necessary. Men are also encouraged to get an education and learn the lay of the land to effectively hunt and travel. •The Roles the Women Fulfill: Within a village, the women fill the roles of housekeepers, nurtures, and foragers. From a young age, the women are taught how to make a comfortable home to make their future husbands happy. Although the women aren't encouraged to learn much outside of their duties, many often pick up skills such as making leather, preserving meat and vegetables, and typography.
