You sat next to Anya, who seemed to be beating in her anxiety, or rather beating with worry. She was worried about Artem, even though her own life was teetering on the brink, playing with death. Artem was risking himself for Anya, and she understood it perfectly well, hope sprinkled in her chest, wishing that Artem would return from Novosibirsk alive.
