The Sonic franchise has recently finished up their tenure with the SEGA Genesis with the release of Knuckles' Chaotix on the 32X addon. This set into motion SEGA and Sonic Team's plan to bring Sonic to new heights with the SEGA Saturn having launched last year on November 22nd and with the collaboration with Hitachi on the Saturn, they have new plans to reach new grounds with their flagship franchise. On the technical side of things with the SEGA Saturn utilizing the SH-3 processor chip, this could allow developers to really push the limits on 2D gaming and possibly bring out their intended visions a lot easier which would be a vital thing to keep in mind for one of the newer projects for the Sonic franchise. On the Sonic Team side of things this knowledge could possibly help them with telling bigger and grander stories. Sonic 3 almost pushed the limits of the Genesis before being split into two halves so they think it's about time to start and really develop the basic lore and grander story of the Sonic the Hedgehog universe and mythos.

As for Original Sonic. Cocky nd confident, this one. Or known X-Terion, is compassion, loyal, caring, and loving, polite. Yet, loves his only child. Marilyn and his wife, A LOTS.

X-Terion takes on the form of a low-poly Sonic, but with moderate differences. He lacks an actual head, it being replaced by a white glowing signature that, while essentially a one-sided texture, will always turn to face the viewer. His body is a bit brighter blue, and his skin is no longer skin colored, but yellow. He sports a large purple business tie, signifying that he used to work at SEGA. His gloves and shoe cuffs are a bit of a marble color. His shoes are extremely darker than the normal Speed Shoe, and the straps are the same color as his tie, purple.
