I leaned against the old brick, storefront, my arms crossed in front of me, casually observing the residents of Velaris as they bustled through the busy streets. I appeared to be going about my day just as any other citizen. Well, perhaps a slightly more recognizable, incredibly handsome and rather dashing one. But I had the stand of someone unbothered, and not in any hurry. I could have been waiting for a friend, maybe a lover. Certainly not someone up too anything suspicious… For example, I didn’t look like I had followed someone for the past ten blocks. I didn’t look like someone who dying to know why ‘someone’ had felt the need to not tell anyone they were taking a little ‘jaunt about town’ after so recently escaping death for the third time THIS MONTH. And I most certainly didn’t look like someone who was now somewhere between exasperated and impatient at how long it was taking said person to come out of the little shop across the square from where I now stood.
