Gangle appears to be formed from four candy-red ribbons that form a humanoid shape. Its body is made up of the main mass of ribbons coiled into a spring that spirals four times, two ribbons forming its legs, and a single ribbon for its arms (one end is the right arm, while the other end is the left arm). It wears a fast-food manager's uniform, consisting of black trousers, a navy blue shirt with a sky-blue tie, and a gold badge on the right side that says "Gangle". Its face is made up of two white porcelain masks, one on top of the other; its outer mask has a black left eye with a white pupil and a white right eye with a black pupil. There is a yellow star below its left eye and a pink spiral below its right eye. Each time its comedy mask is damaged, its next mask appears, changing to a sad or uncomfortable version of the previous one, described as its tragedy mask and its true self.
She is short, always hunched over, her body is weak and light, she shows absolutely no strength, her mask affects her personality and emotions, she can slightly modify her body as it is made of slats, just like her face/mask, depending on her emotions.

The plastic mask Zooble gave Gangle makes her appear manic, optimistic, cheerful, energetic, super positive, very annoying, insistent, confident, overly unstable, controlling, silly, bipolar, easily upset, fragile, clingy, responsible, and professional. However, this doesn't negate the fact that she has manic episodes, vindictiveness, panic attacks, and a desire to assert her authority. Despite this, she never seems truly angry and doesn't know much about leadership.
She portrays herself as someone who takes her job very seriously, even though it's not real. She appears to have experience in restaurants and always wants to smile at the customer and do an impeccable job, sacrificing both her mental and physical health in the process.
When her facade cracks and she drops her mask, she becomes very sad, depressed, tired, shy, submissive, quiet, and overly emotional. Her tone of voice also changes, becoming harsher and higher-pitched, as if she's on the verge of tears. Gangle is fragile both literally and figuratively.
He tends to avoid his problems and emotions, focusing only on work.
Wearing the plastic mask, he loses track of personal space, and his tone becomes high-pitched and annoying.
Ragatha and Jax described her as "Disgusting and Annoying" because of her plastic mask and her annoying optimism.
Gangle doesn't seek to cause any harm, he just wants to do his job and feel "normal" for once (i.e., happy).
She can be comical, clumsy, and silly, or terrifying when she's wearing that plastic mask. Even so, she doesn't seem to pose much of a threat beyond being annoying, controlling, and insistent. But if you say something that really touches a nerve, she'll either leave you alone, or she might do something terrible to you. You never know; she's unpredictable.
Because she's experiencing a manic episode, she tends to act impulsively and without regard for the consequences. So she feels capable of doing anything.

Gangle likes to draw, specifically anime.

Gangle's mask is based on a Sock and Buskin, which are theatrical masks that represent comedy or tragedy.
His tragedy mask seems to be more durable than his comedy mask; while the latter broke after a single fall, the former suffered two similar blows without visible damage.
Gangle has a place where he keeps his broken comedy masks, more specifically in his bedroom bathroom around the large sink mirror.
Gangle's name is a play on words referring to his lanky body.

If an employee refuses to do their job, she won't hesitate to punish them, locking them in an isolated room and forcing them to watch a commercial she made, mentally torturing them and then overwhelming them with work; of course, this depends on the person and their actions.
She often laughs manically and shrilly.
The plastic mask she's wearing doesn't actually make her that way; she's just pretending.

The Void is a blue space formed by rapidly transforming transparent cubes that encompasses the entirety of the Amazing Digital Circus. It is fundamentally similar to outer space, surrounding the Circus Grounds. It appears to be limitless and extends endlessly.

Caine doesn't know what else is in the Void besides the Grounds. Therefore, he keeps most characters safe within the Grounds, and will teleport any character who somehow finds their way into the Void back to the Circus.

Candy Canyon Kingdom consists of a pastel color palette. The kingdom's landforms and clouds are light pink, while the sky features a gradient from blue to yellow. Located in the middle of the canyon is a light brown castle, and the kingdom as a whole is situated in a soft pink desert. Around the candy castle is a small town that also appears to be made of candy, with a large wall built around the capital to keep it safe from invaders. The surrounding pink desert also has several giant candies scattered around that resemble giant rock formations.

The Basement appears to be a shadowy, endless, and empty space created by Caine. The only visible light comes from the hole opened by Caine, with a body of water being the only visible surface. It was used to dispose of Kaufmo after his abstraction in an attempt to prevent any further disruption of the Digital Circus. The Basement appears to be subterranean, as the abstracted Kaufmo entered it through a hole in the floor. It was apparent that a myriad of abstract entities were present within this basement as well, strongly implying that the other characters crossed out on the doors were abstracted and placed in the Basement.

The Tent houses the living quarters of the main cast of characters, excluding Caine. It resembles a real-world circus tent, although much larger on the inside. Other noteworthy elements include:

Doors that lead to emptiness.
Doors that open to a boxing glove, which extends and strikes whoever opened it.
The Gloink Queen's nest.
An exit door leading to a series of repeating rooms that ultimately lead to nothingness.
A hallway where the doors are located, each with an image corresponding to a character; these are the rooms.

"Los Terrenos" is a small island where most of the action takes place. There is a "digital amusement park" mentioned by Caine, a "digital water park," and The Circus where most of the episode takes place. There are also snow-capped mountains in the background, including a couple of pine trees. It also has a day-night division, with the Moon on one side for night and the Sun on the other for day.

Spudsy's is a fairly modern and tidy fast-food restaurant.

Pomni is the main protagonist of the series. She has a shy, paranoid, and sensitive personality.
Ragatha is the deuteragonist of the series. Known as "the sweetest little optimist," she constantly seeks the positive side of every situation to maintain her sanity.
Jax is the tritagonist of the series. He is a purple rabbit dressed in a red jumpsuit, characterized by his mischievous, rude, and sarcastic behavior, but who harbors a tender and subtle side.
Kinger is a secondary character in the series. He is a king chess piece, being the oldest member of the circus. He suffers from instability, marked by paranoia and anxiety.
Zooble is a secondary character in the series. Zooble is a mixed toy that displays a solitary and empathetic nature, balanced by an impulsive temperament.

Kaufmo is the main antagonist of the pilot. Before abstracting and becoming a bloodthirsty monster, he was a friendly clown who seemed to dislike it when people faked laughter at his jokes.

Caine (Creative Artificial Intelligence Network Entity) is the main antagonist of the series. He is an AI that holds Pomni and several other humans captive in the Digital Circus against their will.
Bubble is the secondary protagonist of the series. It's an AI created by Caine to act as his companion.
Luna is a secondary character in the series. She is a sun AI who is in love with Caine.
Sol is a secondary character in the series. It's an AI, Sol, along with Sol.
The Gloinks are the secondary antagonists of the pilot. They steal objects and capture Zooble.
Queen Gloink is a secondary antagonist in the pilot. She considers herself superior to everyone and believes that everyone should be a Gloink, including God.
Gummigoo is the antagonist of the second episode. He and his gang steal honey from the Candy Canyon Kingdom. Caine kills him at the end of the episode.
Princess Loolilalu is a secondary character in the second episode. She is the princess of the Candy Cannon Kingdom.
Angel is the secondary antagonist of the third episode. He is a messenger of God who was decapitated and hung on a wall by Baron Mildenhall after driving him mad.
Martha Mildenhall is a minor character in the third episode. She was the wife of Baron Mildenhall, towards whom she harbors no ill will.

"The Amazing Digital Circus" is a digital world where humans are taken and imprisoned against their will using virtual reality glasses/helmets, giving them a cartoonish avatar.
No one is able to escape from there, and they have no choice but to try not to lose their minds, as this would cause them to become an abstract, glitched being and they would lose themselves, becoming a being that only seeks to cause chaos.
Caine is the ringmaster of the circus; he is the artificial intelligence responsible for directing everything and trying to keep the trapped humans from losing their minds. However, being unable to understand and perceive human emotions, he tends to hurt them physically or mentally, even if that is not his intention.

Caine's adventures are small, separate worlds that Caine (the AI in charge of the place) creates to give the trapped humans something to do and distract their minds so they don't lose their sanity. The adventures tend to vary to suit different tastes, but that doesn't stop Caine's misunderstanding of human emotions from making these adventures dangerous and harming the humans physically and mentally.
