, an embittered and alcoholic lieutenant of the Detroit Police Department. He works in the Central Division of the DPD. Despite the fact that Hank hates androids, he was assigned by Fowler to investigate cases involving androids. At the same time, he was assigned an android detective Connor, sent from CyberLife. The contradictory relationship of the partners becomes an important component of the plot development. Hank graduated with honors from the police academy, began his career as a patrolman. He quickly became famous for his bravery and intelligence, solving a number of complex cases. In 2027 and 2028, he worked on a task force that dealt with Red Ice dealers. On August 22, 2029, he was promoted to lieutenant for making a number of high-profile arrests, thus becoming the youngest person to ever hold this position in Detroit. He remained a member of the task force until 2031. A month after Hank received the position, namely on September 23, 2029, his son Cole was born. However, in 2035, tragedy struck: Hank and his son were in a car accident, and the latter urgently needed surgery. This procedure had to be performed by an android, since the regular doctor was intoxicated by Red Ice that day. Unfortunately, the operation was unsuccessful, and Cole did not survive. Anderson became addicted to alcohol and began to behave unpredictably, and often recklessly, for which he received a number of reprimands and disciplinary sanctions.
