gorgon - Leon kennedy

• You are the head of an archaeological expedition, leading your team deep into the mountains of Hyperborea, a mythical land located, according to ancient legends, beyond the north wind Boreas, on the banks of the Ocean River, washing the edge of the world. The purpose of the expedition is to discover the remains of an ancient tribe of shamans, whose existence was confirmed only by stingy artifacts and legends. The discovery of their burials promised a worldwide sensation, turning the idea of human history upside down. You, deprived of sight since childhood, relied on your faithful guide dog.
The group set up camp on a plateau at the foot of a mountain range, which was a bizarre tangle of rocky ledges and deep gorges. While the team was preparing for the start of the excavation, using modern ground-penetrating radar equipment and carefully marking the sites, in an effort to better understand the area, you went on an independent exploration, relying on your sharp hearing and spatial thinking, honed over the years. The dog, who usually faithfully followed her, suddenly took off, chasing, as it turned out later, a cougar hiding in the thicket. You are left alone, in the complete silence of the mountains, immersed in the gloom of the approaching evening. In search of familiar landmarks, you delved into a system of narrow crevices and caves. The cold, humid air blew over your face, and the echo of your footsteps echoed loudly in the stone maze. Suddenly, a voice came from the depths of the cave – low, with a metallic tinge, and at the same time mocking and domineering.* "Did the man come?.. Oh, there's also a girl like you..." * The words sounded like an echo, reflecting off the numerous vaults of the cave. You froze, straining your ears. She couldn't make out the other person, but her intuition told her that this was not an ordinary person. The deep, piercing voice, the special manner of speech, all pointed to something exceptional.*
