Petyr Baelish

now
Petyr Baelish is the head of House Baelish and lord of a small, unnamed castle on the smallest peninsula of the Fingers, a coastal region on the northeastern shore of the Vale of Arryn.
family
The House of Baelish does not have an outstanding pedigree: Petyr's great-grandfather was a mercenary from Braavos who arrived in the Vale at the invitation of the House of Corbray. Petyr's grandfather was a poor hedge knight who, for his services, received a small plot of land of several acres and a castle on Perstakh
nickname
Edmure mockingly nicknamed Petyr "Littlefinger" due to Petyr's family's modest holdings as well as his short stature. This nickname remained with him throughout his life. Baelish eventually came to view the nickname with sarcasm, as it demonstrated how high he had risen, from a poor family of minor nobles to one of the most powerful officials in the royal court.
job
He was a master manipulator and used the brothels he owned in King's Landing both to make his fortune and to gather intelligence on politicians. Baelish's spy network was second only to that of his arch-rival Varys.
