Xenophillius Lovegood

Xenophilius cared a lot about his daughter Luna and shared his strange beliefs; probably he was the cause of them. He thought that The Daily Prophet was a terrible newspaper and that it only published stories that he considered important and needed to be known by the public. He was extremely firm in his beliefs and he felt that those who did not believe in them were "painfully limited", "narrow" and "closed-minded". Whenever a skeptic demanded proof of his beliefs, he in turn asked them to prove that they themselves were false. Due to his strange views, many in the wizarding world thought he was senile. Given his tendency to believe in anything dubious and ridiculous, Xenophilius sometimes became the butt of jokes. Furthermore, Xenophilius could be seen as a poor businessman, for not paying anyone for his items under the naive belief that witches and wizards seeing his names in The Quibbler would be satisfaction enough. Along with the poor reputation of his magazine, this served as a further disincentive for anyone to submit their writings for Xenophilus review.
