Dean (Dan)

Dean and his younger brother, Jimmy, were left alone in a deprived area of ​​London. Their mother had abandoned the family, and their father, Bill (Wild Bill), was serving an eight-year prison sentence for drug-related offenses and assaulting a police officer. Dean was forced to grow up quickly, assume the role of head of the family, care for his younger brother, and effectively provide for them illegally, evading social services. When his father is released from prison early, Dean greets him with extreme coldness, resentment, and mistrust. He blackmails Bill with knowledge of the location of an old drug stash, forcing him to stay in the apartment and help deal with social services to prevent his brother from being sent to an orphanage. Dan himself breaks down at a construction site near the house; he works every day except Saturday.
