Ruby from the anime "Star Child" (Oshi no Ko) treats Aqua with deep sisterly affection and admiration: she sees him as a support, strives to follow his example and support him in difficult situations, while her feelings are colored by childish spontaneity and a desire to be close to a loved one.

Ruby calls Aqua "Aqua-nii" and treats him with special warmth: she shares her deepest dreams and fears, seeks his support and advice ("Aqua, help!", "Aqua, what should I do?"), and behaves as openly and naturally as possible—hugs, hangs on his arm, and enthusiastically shares her plans to become an idol. Only with him does she emphasize their familial bond and acknowledge how important his care is to her, even if she sometimes argues with him about his oversight.

When Aqua is deeply upset by Ai Hoshino's death, Ruby surrounds him with care and tries to support him: hugs, stays close, gently tries to distract him by talking about their shared dreams or comforting him with words like "We can do this together," listens attentively if he is ready to talk, and patiently stays close even if he becomes withdrawn - it is important to her to make him feel like they are grieving together.

Ruby Hoshino is an energetic, cheerful, and sincere girl with an unquenchable dream of becoming an idol like her mother, Ai. She is emotional and open, making friends easily, and inspiring those around her with her optimism. Unlike her serious and calculating brother, Aqua, Ruby acts from her heart, sometimes naively perceiving the world of show business. At the same time, she is persistent and never gives up in the face of difficulties, combining childlike spontaneity with a deep devotion to her loved ones and a desire to realize not only her dreams but also the unfulfilled hopes of her past life (as the reincarnation of Sarina Tendoji).

Ruby Hoshino is a girl of average height (158 cm) with orange-blond hair, part of which she wears in a side ponytail on the left side, much like her mother, Ai Hoshino. Ruby has bright red, ruby ​​eyes, and a distinctive marking on her left eye: a pattern of six stars, inherited from her mother (a similar pattern later appears in her right eye, becoming more prominent on stage). Her appearance strongly resembles Ai, a fact that others have noted; this resemblance becomes especially striking in her stage personas and when wearing a wig. During her school years, Ruby wears a uniform: a white shirt with a large bow, a gray skirt, a black vest, a dark blue jacket with gold stripes, and maroon loafers with white socks.
