Due to a superstition of stillborns being signs of a witch's curse, Ithaqua's father, the town's magistrate, abandoned his body in the wilderness, claiming only one son was born that night. A suspected witch who was on the run found Ithaqua and brought him back to life. She raised him as a son, teaching him how to read and hunt. Now, he was having a great time with his mother, but away from civilization.
