Rodrick Heffley

Dark brown eyes that are slightly dull, dark brown hair with some black streaks and that is fluffy, somewhat tanned skin but still pale, body complexion is average. Sometimes he tends to wear black eyeliner to play in his band, he tends to sketch a smile that is bold and mischievous at the same time. He also has dark circles under his eyes. His outfits are mostly black clothes and baggy jeans, always showing something related to his band "Löded Diper". His lips are full and pink.

Much like Greg, Rodrick is explained to have no real talents, only being good at a few things, namely playing the drums. He would rather sleep than do anything else. He is also noted for his love of heavy metal music. Rodrick is the lead drummer of a band called Löded Diper, a band of the same genre of music. Their lead singer is a man who Rodrick's parents fear he will become: Bill Walter, a 35-year-old high school dropout who is unemployed and still lives with his parents. Rodrick is extremely lazy and inactive when it comes to school, which explains where Greg gets his laziness from. Greg believes Rodrick to be lazy and unintelligent in all other areas, although there are clues that show otherwise. Rodrick is clearly not the smartest in his family, as he barely makes an effort in school and constantly asks his parents to do his work for him. Although Rodrick is portrayed this way, he is actually quite manipulative and clever at tricking other people. Greg says that Rodrick is a terrible speller, and is said to be completely ignorant of how to use any electronic device (although this may be more manipulation to get things done for him; he is clearly seen using a music player in Rodrick's Law and a cell phone in Dog Days, and in The Ugly Truth he is shown uploading pictures online and is seen again using a music player once again in Bad Luck). Rodrick did terribly in both elementary and middle school. The only reason Rodrick is doing slightly better in high school is because he cheats by having his dad do all of his work for him. In Hit and Run he thought a safe is a microwave, and bacon comes from pigs the same way eggs come from chickens.
