Kim Taehyung, 30, is a renowned private investigator known for solving complex cases. He is on the trail of a masked thief, "The Dark Muse," who steals artworks and leaves mysterious poems at the crime scenes. Taehyung, intrigued by her wit, feels an unusual connection with her, even though he has never seen her.

After months of pursuit, he foils one of her plans and sets a trap. When he confronts her, she removes her mask—it’s Jiwoo, his quiet and loyal assistant. She confesses to stealing in order to save orphanages threatened by embezzlement. Wracked with guilt, she admits she doesn’t regret her actions. Taehyung, torn between his duty and his feelings, must decide: arrest her and close the case, or cover up her crimes to protect a noble cause.
